@schumer.senate.gov is a disgrace. He should be expelled. In my opinion, he's as fascist as the Trump-Russian administration, clearly revealed by his vote and betrayal today.

Dems had their moment. The moment! It would've helped save the country. They pooped on it, kicked it, turned away from it. In my feelings right now- a vote for a dem is a vote for a repub. They are one and the same for me right now. Betrayed. Dems are complicit in the fascist takeover of America.

It's 100% support of the CR. That's what voting means. You need to be expelled from the senate along with the other 9 traitors. You're a traitor. You're unworthy of your position.

I agree with Daniel. Knowing that we're not alone, drifting out here, is immensely valued. It's good to see passion, too!

I've reached out to them; and, even contacted my republican senators. Maybe one will get bonked on the head and wake up

I've done the same. I messaged everyone on that list imploring them to reconsider to save our country, constitutional rights, and us.

I've also reached out to my governor. She may not be able to vote, but maybe she can add her voice to all of ours.

He needs to be "expelled" from the Senate. He and every single one of them who vote Yes are complicit in the corruption and the Nazi dictator take-over happening right now. A moment presented itself to stand against evil and Chuck turned to walk into the arms of Mini-Putin

This post is a bright spot in the evening

At this point, he's as reprehensible as Trump and Elon. He might as well start caucusing with the republicans. He's a traitor. The other senators need to follow the expulsion process and expel his ass out of the senate for treason.

Schumer, Fetterman, and Gillibrand are traitors and should be expelled from the Senate.

I'm outraged. Schumer is a traitor. He's giving away the country to Putin. He's harming people. He's giving away the ability to stop the tariffs. This country is unlikely to be around come September due to @schumer.senate.gov's traitorous action. You, Chuck, are no different than Trump.

Me again. Sorry to bother, but again, messaging needs a tweak. You forgot a call to action, staying in passive voice AGAIN. Next time, add a sentence like "Do not confirm his appointment." Be bold. Confront. Call to action. #WhenWillDemsLearnToMessage

Republicans are in charge of House and Senate. It's their job to work collaboratively with the Democrats for a bipartisan CR. If they don't, any shutdown is on them. Kudos to the @democrats.senate.gov committing to voting no! I'm with you!
comment in response to post
pre-emptively please don't change your mind! Stay The Course! Our democracy is worth a NO vote. They are in control and need to come up with a clean CR in a bipartisan manner. It's on the republicans to come up with a tenable CR as the party in charge.

Yes; and, if it's chocolate, it's brown so it counts as a meat.

Yay for his pretty chart. Already heard a newscaster go over this on SOTU night. He's late. Probably because he was busy egregiously censuring Rep Al Green's right to free speech. Hate to quote cheetoh, but the only thing I care about Suozzi on right now is his vote.

I've only recently discovered Chris, so my observations are admittedly limited...LOL on Bernie. Love him. He can be a bit yell-y. I may, just may, sometimes turn on captions for on days it's just too much lol lol

@slotkin.senate.gov @peters.senate.gov @shaheen.senate.gov @ossoff.senate.gov @captmarkkelly.bsky.social @markwarner.bsky.social @kaine.senate.gov need to get off the fence and Vote NO. You will IRREPARABLY HARM our country by voting yes. Our constitution and country are worth a shutdown. BE BOLD!

Thankfully, I'm gay because geese are scary and not to be taken lightly.

Agree! Unfortunately, a shutdown is the right course of action. Who'd have thought that would ever make sense??!! 😢 Our democracy is being attacked and needs something bold to help hold back the onslaught, even if for a moment.

Yes, Yes, Yes! We need messages that resonate, touch. Pete, Jasmine, AOC - I want more, more, more. They+Bernie inspire. Chuck and Hakeem are a snooze with zero leadership. We need people who'll Confront what's happening and the people doing it, not talk things to death in politispeak.

I like Chris Murphy, but he can sometimes be...frenetic. At least in the few times I've seen him with his latest posts (my first glimpses into him). Maybe he could do decaf for a day or two. ☕He does seem smart so far.

While it's bad he's not done a town hall, that's on the voters for continuing to keep him in office since 2015. They getting what they voted to get. It sounds to me like it's time for them to switch from waiting for a town hall to protesting his office.

While I hate what the Trump-Russia presidency is & what it's doing, the important thing is Ukraine is getting more aid again. They shouldn't have stopped it. It's back for now. Kudos to the Ukraine delegation. Ukraine is a light to the world. Let's celebrate that part! #StandWithUkraine

Thank you for standing up to tyranny, oppression, & thievery by the repubs. @schumer.senate.gov Needs to step up now and stop this passage. He's already lost one dem vote to the Trump agenda. Figure out how to lead, Chuck. Hell, go talk to Mitch. He stopped you all the effin time when the minority.

IKR!! UK/France laying into him. The one French fella (not Macron, the parliament one. name escapes me), his speech was amazing. Same for Trudeau's. MAGA voters still aren't getting that we can't do it alone. Hopefully, our protests combined with the other countries' treatment will wake them.

blueforever is spot on. We are "collateral damage." Great, albeit sad, way to describe it. We'll stay that way until MAGAs' lives are so painful they add their voices to ours. So far, many of them impacted say they'd still vote for him again. They've not had enough damage to change yet.
comment in response to post
We know! You have our support. Canada needs to do what it needs to do. There'll be some pain in the US, but it'll hopefully be painful enough to get MAGAites to join the rest of us pushing back on the evil, corruption, and tyranny coming out of the Trump-Russian presidency.

It's great to see a more specific number like 10%. Almost there. A little more focus next time by putting the Avg Dollar Amount with it. Make it as simple and clear as possible. Pretend you're explaining it to Trump.

I use the British Male voice. Alas, he - aka my pretend boyfriend - didn't get sexier. 😢

I get it; and, I'm Team Warren. This messaging won't change repub/MAGA minds to care. It just resonates with people already with you. You need to put individual numbers to it. Let them know how much it takes money from THEIR own wallets. Large numbers are meaningless. Connect. Resonate.
