This commission statement refers to people with Autism, ADHD, asthma, auto-immune disease, and chronic illness as a “dire threat to the American people and our way of life”. This is a manifesto against disability. This is the language of eugenics.

Satire is officially dead. Yes, the White House post is real. #ValentinesDay #Trump

Thanks to all who were concerned if our house survived the fires. Amazingly enough... it did. My heart goes out to everyone who weren't as fortunate, not only in my neighborhood, but all of Los Angeles. Together, we will get through this! ❤️-mh

[werner herzog voice] the looney tunes are an abomination. the little bald man shoots the duck in the face but he lives. the coyote is crushed by many anvils, and yet he continues. these unnatural beings cannot die - and without death, what is the value of life itself?

This is my list of films I've watched in December 2024.

Should I just abandon social media altogether? It doesn't seem like Facebook and all the rest are getting better anytime soon.

#SpiderVerse #ShameikMoore

why are netflix's closed captioners lowkey antisemitic

Krypto's debut!! One reason I'm a James Gunn stan and not a Zach Snyder stan? Gunn EMBRACES silliness. A walking tree and a talking raccoon? He will make you care and get emotionally invested. Here is a fucking super-dog in a cape. I'm fully confident in his ability to make it work.

Marketing for #CarryOn: "So this is about a worker on an airplane/in an airport whose loved one's life is threatened by a charismatic terrorist unless that worker makes arrangements through their job to facilitate the death of the terrorist's actual target." Me: "... Isn't that #RedEye from 2005?"

So I'm interested in the recent adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo. It's one of my favorite books... ... but considering Alexandre Dumas wrote it as a revenge fantasy for his father, I think Edmond Dantes should have been Black. He always gets cast as a white man in adaptations.

I couldn't resist. #ThereWillBeBlood #ElonMusk

This document is undeniable proof that Israel is not committing genocide. If it were, Ireland wouldn’t be pushing to redefine the term just to have the ICJ punish Israel.

Last season of #Arcane was super-rushed and really sucked, but it had some stellar moments. The episode where Ekko goes to the good timeline where most everyone is alive and happy was a heartbreaker. 😩

Yep. 😂 Another reason I generally block.

Another part of growing up is realizing plenty of those people are also friends of yours and that you are one of those people. I wouldn't even trust myself with that much power, which is why I support checks and balances even if I'm in power.

Sigh. Apparently, the McDonald's employee who tipped police off about Luigi Mangione got doxxed. 🙄 Shit like this is why I don't trust the terminally online left. There's no sense of ethical proportion to resistance. A minimum-wage worker tempted by a life-changing $60k reward is not our enemy.

Fair warning: do not quote-tweet me so your followers can harass me. Users that quote-tweet me for that purpose get an automatic block.

All's I got to say about the arrest. #UnitedHealthcare #LuigiMangione #DenyDefendDepose

One of the worst things to happen to the left was "allyship," meaning allies who never, ever disagree with you. And if they do, they're "problematic" and should be ostracized. That is not how alliances have worked throughout history. Sometimes, you HAVE to work with people you disagree with.

Genuinely don't understand why nuance is so hard for people. Yes, two things can be true at the same time. Assad was an evil bastard AND some of the rebels who overthrew him might also be evil bastards.

Holy shit. Rebel forces captured Damascus and al-Assad has fled the country.

NPR is talking on Here & Now about statistics on violence against healthcare workers, and I'm pulling my hair out at the tone-deafness of it. Nurses being slapped by antivaxxers are NOT the same problem as a millionaire insurance CEO being shot because he's a greedy asshole.

"Police are telling the public not to worry." I'm not a healthcare CEO. 😂 I'm not worried.

"Anastasia" makes a lot more sense if you think of the movie as the senile ramblings of Empress Maria blaming the Russian Revolution on an evil wizard. 😂

Activists: "I argue in order to win or be seen pwning the opposition." Me: I argue as a means of gathering information people won't willingly reveal otherwise so I can learn more about an issue. We are not the same.

I think I'm going to gradually move here and just delete my Twitter account. It's been a long time coming, but I've been using Twitter increasingly less since the far right took it over.

It's fascinating that people keep comparing Helene and Katrina, ignoring the 2017 hurricane where almost 3,000 Americans died.
