These firefighters are amazing, man. They are helping my friend’s cul-de-sac prepare for the worst right now. Cutting vegetation, putting outdoor furniture into garage, duct taping vents, etc. They do so much more than we know to protect us.

Sure, LA has horrible traffic, high rent, not enough housing, bad air quality, not enough public transportation, water shortages, everything is too spread out, and I’ll never be able to afford a house… but in November, LA has the best sunsets and it makes it all worth it.

One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election. Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control
