And by the same token, there's a real strain of lefties - mostly dumb posting-only types, as you say, but not entirely that - who don't get that they'd be part of a coalition, and not the driving force

I mean, it means what it says; mostly that the mainstream Democratic Party doesn't realize how much embracing genuinely progressive policies would get them over the hump in a lot of places. They're still chasing theoretical moderates that don't exist, and if they do, don't vote or vote R

I think he does but not even intentionally; he is incredibly over leveraged and the bulk of his wealth is TSLA which is going to crater the second it’s not tied directly to the Elon Hype Train. It’s functionally a memecoin at this point

They're opinionated. They're angry. And they've got NOTHING ELSE TO DO. "The Early-bird Special Swarm", coming this month to theaters, MAX, and C-SPAN.

I mean, I live here and I view the US govt as actively hostile to my life and interests. The only weird part of that number is that it isn't like, 60+

A buddy of mine passed away, not too long after starting a new job. LinkedIn suggested I congratulate him on his 10th anniversary there. I did it, because he would have thought it was funny

And even without that angle, if GOP congresscritters are scared of their base, regular people suddenly thrust into the public view are more at risk without any of the extra protection MoC get

Years and years ago, my wife and I were talking to a waiter about cats and he mentioned his was named Mr. Boots. We didn't know a damn thing about that cat beyond the name and we still talk about how great that cat probably was

Yeah, I can't believe I'm sort of rooting for Evil And Smart, because at least Evil And Smart wants to rule over something more than ashes

Even if nothing else happens - people snap to their senses or whatever TODAY - why on Earth would anyone else ever trust us again Like, you say generation, but without some sort of real structural change this is ALWAYS going to be “borger expensive” away from repeating itself

Really rooting for that shit to be on the X chromosome, for those kids’ sakes

It's honestly a bit of a problem for us (one kid); with only three of us, there aren't _enough_ chores for him to do! We aren't that messy! I ain't raising no kid who can't do friggin laundry or clean a toilet, though

Everything I have ever heard about him on a personal level suggests he is a VERY kind individual, which both explains why people circle the wagons for him AND makes his written stances even more baffling

This isn’t even like the “well the statute can be interpreted as…” nonsense that gets trotted out sometimes, this is black letter law, like the kind you would write if you were trying to stop the exact things Trump is doing

My working theory is that these are people renting them and creating a parody video because anything else is too sad to contemplate

Yeah there is definitely some "you bought the ticket, you take the ride" here but holy shit, that is, uh, a lot. It takes an awful lot for me to feel sorry for someone kicked out of fucking TPUSA for being too racist but this might be it

Yeah, my theory all along has been that this is the stove touching that won’t get ignored or brushed aside. I hate that this is the line; I would very much us to right the ship without getting kids involved but I don’t know what else is going to convince people at this point
