So where's the primary challenger for @amyklobuchar.com? It'll take a ton of work, so we need to start now.

In light of everything happening, I wrote about how the KKK in the 1920s felt unstoppable, about the people that fought against them anyway, and about how fascism always fails. dansinker.com/posts/202…

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

This is so good.

Maybe they're just too embarrassed to admit it's a 14 year old kid named DeezNutz

The correct answer is a Culver's kids meal paid for by the 10 Scoopie tokens from the last 10 kids meals you got.

Our country needs a helluva a lot of things right now. What it doesn't need is a homey Presidents Day pep talk from a senator who refuses to use the power we gave her to resist Trump.

Well, shit.

My new favorite website: ✨gulfof.mapquest.com✨ "Show off your custom Gulf map with friends and family. Create unique variations and spread some geographic joy!" Go forth and share geographic joy fam!

Was there seriously nothing, not even a sit-in, absolutely nothing not even bloody-minded rule-following that could at the least have delayed this while gaining support and making it more painful for the GOP?

If you're looking for a Google Maps or Apple Maps replacement, check out Organic Maps. It uses OpenStreetMap data, which captured the official name change for Gulf of America but continues to recognize that the vast majority of English-speaking people call it Gulf of Mexico. Also it works offline.

Chicago people, what’s your take on the Chicago Growth Project

If you ever find yourself in Ashland, WI, be sure to have a burrito (or anything, really) at Taqueria La Monarca. We stopped there for the second time last night and everything we had was great.

As the forces of hatred are on the march, my promise is this: Our trans neighbors will continue to be safe, protected, and welcome in Minnesota.

It's curious to me that the US Census put the ACS and TIGER data back, but has kept the Decennial (and related documentation) hidden. The Decennial is the one where they count everybody.

None of these little fash bastards want the kind of light that's on them right now. They thought they were gonna get a head pat from Elon and get to do their reich work in the dark. Not so fucking fast.

FBI Uncovers Al-Qaeda Plot To Just Sit Back And Enjoy Collapse Of United States

I wonder if they found the (hopefully better protected) spot where the full Census data is kept.

I noticed in the zoning committee minutes that US Internet is looking to open a network presence in St. Paul near the corner of Snelling and Randolph. Pretty great for people in Mac Groveland and Highland Park looking for better internet options...

Remember that our tax dollars paid for this data. It is our data. The government is the people. Every dataset removed is theft. #gischat

It's pretty wild that www2.census.gov is 403'ing. This is where all of the data that Census produces goes. ACS, Decennial, etc. are all no longer available. I've got some historical ACS data, but definitely not all of it.

This Youtube channel does shorter videos about how to produce song in FL Studio, but he makes each video into a song itself and they're all slightly different. It's really interesting and enjoyable to listen to. www.youtube.com/@synthet7

There appear to be at least three separately operating heel factions breaking things within the government in wholly different ways right now. There's the Miller-headed immigration one, the DOGE/Elon one, and a Project 2025 OMB one. This dynamic hasn't showed up in mainstream reporting at all.

Playing with some GraphHopper routing APIs to see what drives look like with and without I-94. For example, this commute from Woodbury to downtown Minneapolis is 33 min without I-94 and 27 minutes with.

Matched 'n more.

Is it still the Gulf of Mexico? Check here --> gulfofwhat.com you're welcome

Would love to understand why every Democrat is not out there every second of the day explaining in plain English that Donald Trump has declared war on cancer patients.

This is such a brilliant summation from @leahgreenberg.bsky.social of the fundamental lack of understanding many electeds (and their staff!) have of the new info reality. To be boring is death.
