Sadly, I think they'd like to go back further

Ahh, hence the "3am mating cry" version of Eruption!

Might actually be prepared to pay for the chance

Disagree, but that's fine

Yes All I'm saying is that the film isn't that bad. It's not brilliant either, but it's a Marvel film, not the latest Scorsese. And maybe it's a tongue in cheek style (honestly, I've not read a lot of your reviews) but needing to be drunk to watch this "dry vanilla mess" felt a little pompous Sorry

I thought you were a political commentator? Apologies if that's wrong

Read it in full My post stays the same You sound like you didn't want to be there, and that's the films fault Sorry you had a bad experience but it was never going to be great cinema, just an opportunity to check your brain at the door (and enjoy a president still better than the current time one)

It's a Marvel film. Enjoy it for what it is, not what you want it to be. It's fine, it's an easy to spend a couple of hours, though I wouldn't bother waiting for the post credit.

Thunderbolt Ross is not as corrupt or irredeemable as Trump Hell, The Leader isn't!

Still not joining the "two wrongs make a right" brigade.

I think you're right, but it is the playing down. A trivial example, why can't we have a Man of The Match in mens football, a batsman in mens cricket. Little difference but there's the suggestion that it is somehow bad to be a "man" It needs to be reclaimed away from Tate, Robinson and their ilk

If a terrible thing leads to change, then that's positive in one way But I'm not lauding or holding up as a role model, the person who did the terrible thing Or wanting other people to do terrible things. Gaza and the US being recent/current examples

My frustration is that the things Labour is getting pulled up for (rightly, don't get me wrong) appear quite trivial compared to what the Conservatives did for years Doesn't make it right, or that you shouldn't investigate, it's more the way the Mail etc jump all over it after letting it go before

Sorry, I guess it's a more general point than specifically you But £10k as part of an election v a whole book sort of makes my latter point?

The days of the 1 in 10, bands named after benefit forms! But the music of the late 70s, early 80s doesn't exist without the dole

He shot someone in the head. That is not a good thing, whatever the shot person did And,BTW, I think the guy who got shot, and his company, are profiteering bastards. But I'm not having a murderer as my poster boy

Ok, so what was your comp to child rape in your post. Off we're talking idiocy
comment in response to post
So you see a speeding ofine and child rate as equivalent? Can't agree

Imagine being too much of a twat for America right now

Why was so little made of the millions taken by Tories, and the source of Reform's funding, but these all seem to all get top billing I know we expected/wanted better but the whole "the right can do anything, the left must be perfect" is part of the reason the right keep winning
comment in response to post
Is it though? Is it ever, really? Not sure what the actual answer is, but simply shooting people you don't like is unlikely to be it
comment in response to post
So, that makes it not only alright, but virtuous? Don't think so.

Or "biggest dick"

Tbh, while I understand the sentiment and agree US healthcare is vile, I'm not sure championing a murderer is really the way to go?
comment in response to post
Very apt!
comment in response to post
Wouldn't that come out of the literary side, not the movie rights? But would be a fun idea

Not long ago all the complaints about the EU were that's it's going to get too much power, be too centralised, have an army etc Now it's all, why isn't there an army, why are decisions so fragmented, why isn't it more centralised Some people need to understand sometimes you get what you wish for
