Too tired of all this Anthoulla. Just wish there was some honesty and integrity in the system

Well that ship is sinking. I wonder if this will become similar. I wonder if nonsensical folk will come here too.

You make hugely valid points. That is a real risk yes. I know someone will answer this - in fact Iā€™ll point a couple of the right people to do so But I think I just realised I donā€™t want to talk about the death of the NHS on here But Richard- you get it - itā€™s crazy bsky.app/profile/idrs...

But Iā€™m pretty exhausted from it all And this platform - the way I want to use it is to help enable growth for myself and others. The writing is on the wall for the healthcare system (unless thereā€™s a massive public uprising) But I will keep out of the PA conversation on this platform šŸ™šŸ½ (4/4)
comment in response to post
I hope the public do the right thing As for me - Iā€™m absolutely drained from the duplicitous nature of gov and various NHS bodies and the corrupt nature of it all that weā€™ve witnessed The sheer disdain for society leaders are showing (3/4)
comment in response to post
My hope is that the public are more aware. They need to decide for themselves what sort of healthcare system they want. As an informed member of the public - Iā€™m petrified for the future of U.K. healthcare (2/4)
comment in response to post
To you it felt like a triage - I was trying to understand what was triage like about it. And if it truly was that or was it something else. Anyway honestly Iā€™m not on Sky to talk about this issue. I wish you the best in health and thank you for sharing.
comment in response to post
And if thatā€™s the case - Iā€™m wondering why that wasnā€™t an SHO (but sounds more like a reg clinic) but possibly on the SHO side The future generation of doctors would be desperate to get such experience Without giving them this - we eventually kill the healthcare system going forward
comment in response to post
Fair. Sorry I wasnā€™t trying to be invasive. Thank you for sharing and I hope you are well. Iā€™m trying to understand what the purpose was of the clinic It sounds like it was then possibly used to think about management plans going forward whether that was surgical management or otherwise etc
comment in response to post
Was there any other purpose to the clinic? Or that was the singular question? What was the outcome and did they then create a plan? What did that look like and what were next steps for your care journey? (As much or as little as you can/want to say)
comment in response to post
Odd.
comment in response to post
Itā€™s more than that Richard Starting with the criteria used to recruit them here The curriculum (itā€™s essentially a PgDip not a masters - the masters component is a dissertation) How they are being used to replace doctors Intentionally being left unregulated for 20 years etc etc
comment in response to post
I think you need to follow the AMA more closely.
comment in response to post
And here is an example of what definitely should not be happening :(
comment in response to post
Glad to hear that response - sounds like a great PA there who truly wants excellence for patients
comment in response to post
2) was the original referral from your GP? 3) was any consent etc taken during the consultation? Many more questions but would be interesting to know some of this
comment in response to post
Thatā€™s definitely a key part of the issue re the consent and understanding of whom someone is speaking to and their skillset and remit/role etc Iā€™m intrigued to understand more about this specialist triage that was felt appropriate- 1) was this the first time you were seeing the ā€˜surgical teamā€™ ?

But then with the Ā£60 mil in commercial EBITDA - depending on what you are doing could be anything between Ā£4.5 mil through to Ā£9 mil. S&P isnā€™t giving that.
comment in response to post
Also - leveraging I could do Ā£120-150 mil in BTL/residential real estate But thereā€™s a reason we choose to do Ā£60 mil in commercial instead. You are absolutely right about the returns. EBITDA with BTL etc will be Ā£1.5 mil for that letā€™s say
comment in response to post
And yes sure some property may be easier - depending how you do it. But commercial property and business is tough lol - however now it seems easy - all about hindsight I guess But itā€™s fully worth it
comment in response to post
Iā€™ve seen ridiculously painful times financially and Iā€™ve seen amazing Financial Times. Maybe thatā€™s what helps :) But money comes and goes and I think building a brand and property business for oneself is a fun thing to do in life :)
comment in response to post
lol kids and lambos etc interesting. Iā€™ve had my fair share of exotics and a couple on order now. But I have also sold them when I think I want to double down on building stuff Think thatā€™s just how you build the mentality of your kids and help them see value of money
comment in response to post
Diversification is critical. The more you put in the more you get out (may not always be financially but the skills Iā€™ve learnt are huge - and continue to learn) - to me I would add another Ā£50 mil to the portfolio value just for that for the learnings Iā€™ve had and what I can use them for
comment in response to post
I hear you. I donā€™t do much residential. Itā€™s just 5% of our property portfolio. Mainly itā€™s commercial. Love the thrill of building a great company and business with property as a component of it. Love building things rather than just passive income etc. S&P is great of course :)
comment in response to post
But there is a reason 35% of rich list cite property as their main stream of income/net worth
comment in response to post
But yes the doubling of property values which a lot of investors keep talking about is just wrong Property prices havenā€™t even doubled in the last 20 years let alone 10 (across most of the U.K.) Yes they have in certain parts for sure.
comment in response to post
Commercial property is giving a much better return than stock markets in general (itā€™s also a lot more in your own control) I think a balanced portfolio should have all sorts of investments and property is a crucial part of it - but definitely wouldnā€™t make it all of it.
comment in response to post
I wouldnt say thats the only good thing about property. I think its obviously a tangible asset (hence the leverage) There is only so much land in the world and property will generally typically rise. But most people miscalculate this.
