I genuinely believe that it's necessary to accept either the existence of men's only clubs and the associated risks of turning toxic, or somehow doing away with gender-segregated organisations like these all together. I personally would prefer the former, but everyone is gonna see it differently.

I would argue some form of social clubs is necessary, but through the nature of, well, society there's always the risk of them turning toxic: Men's only hobby clubs can end up becoming cesspools, and mixed clubs without safeguards (and most hobby clubs won't have these) can turn unsafe for women.

A mention of *War against the Chorr* in the year of our Lord 2025? Inconceivable!

I feel like the other reason is that most of the actual difficulties in being a medieval ruler are just really difficult to implement in a game like CK while keeping it fun. Players want the game to be more difficult, but they want it to be more difficult in very specific ways that aren't realistic.

"Let me guess: You're Jewish" is crazy work. In a world dominated by right-wingers and bigots who try to go for plausible deniability and concealing their true beliefs, it's refreshing to see someone just openly, unabashedly getting straight to expressing their antisemitism.

So yeah, very excited for both panels, and the eventual Ghosts video.

Plus, while the main complaint I've seen is that Team Cherry isn't communicating, along with the development time: I find it hard to be mad at an indie studio for not constantly talking to the community beyond "we're still working on it", which is basically exactly what they've been doing.

Slightly off-topic, but I heard in the stream that your silkposting panel was also approved. It's a topic I'm quite interested in, because while the community seems to be off one mind that Team Cherry is being unfair, I've also seen it argued that the development cycle has not been unusually long.

I see. I may have misunderstood you then, as I assumed you meant that the tech billionaires are actually mostly on board with the tech-based shittification of education, even for their own children. I obviously agree with you that most regular tech workers are perfectly reasonable people.

Nah, most really rich tech guys do in fact want private tutors and small classes for their kids as well. It really shouldn't be surprising that these people preach one thing publicly and do the exact opposite when it actually matters to them.

I'm no expert, but I would say that something can be both expensive and profitable: High investment, high profit if things go well
