#igivearod began as bit of a Twitter phenomenon in 2019. Someone wanted to give to support schools along the trail, someone created a spreadsheet, then a couple of people stepped up to help organize the chaos of the donations. In the end over $110k was raised! www.adn.com/outdoors-adv...

I’ve barely started the colorwork section of my #iknitarod project and I’ve already fallen off the sled. Pattern and stitch count are off. I tried to fix it last night, but I think pulling back to the top of the cuff is probably faster at this point. #UglyDogs

Our #igivearod org for today is AWAIC: Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis. They provide safe shelter and support for survivors of domestic violence in the Anchorage area. In Alaska, 1 out of 2 women & 1 out of 4 men will experience intimate partner violence, sexual assault, or both in their lifetime.
