Rumor has it that Clarence & Ginni Thomas have big plans for the weekend.

I was thinking that it's more like bukkake theater.

Reached for comment, representatives of CNN and the New York Times said "We're rubber and he's glue! Neener neener neener!"

Is this from TheOnion? (I'm not familiar with NYC, so I'm baffled.)

Question of the Day: Is Emil Bove, Esq. going to be disbarred? If not, why not?

THIS! This is why I never donate to political campaigns OR give them my phone number or email address... because I don't want to be added to their "suckers" list and then be badgered (to give them even more) for the rest of my natural life.

I was gonna say that he really does look the part of an evil comic book villain.

I spoke out and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!

THIS is why I'm on social media / BlueSky! I didn't know that anything specific & recent was going on with this prick Bove, but the minute I saw this skeet I googled "Bove" to learn what's up and I'm reading all of the press reports now. My God! He's even more of a scumbag than I thought!

Likewise, society as a whole will find work-arounds for this administration's blinding incompetence, at least with respect to health matters. (I hope it will anyway.)

RFK Jr. is trying to suppress actual RELIABLE information about vaccines and he'll never succeed. The following famous quote is highly relevant in this context: "The Internet treats censorship as a malfunction and routes around it." -- John Perry Barlow

I walk around on eggshells at work, but that's only because I work in an eggshell factory.

Yes, please. I would like to have July 29th proclaimed as National Snow Day. Also, if we could get a proclamation explicitly stating that husbands only have to take out the trash every 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 week that would be most helpful. Thanks.

It was deeply disconcerting when I found out that Steve Bannon agrees with me and professor Norm Matloff (UC Davis) that the entire H-1B visa program is just a scheme that the big U.S. tech companies (Google, Microsoft, Facebook, etc.) use to displace and/or undercut the wages of U.S. tech workers.

Well, at least we can be sure that our nuclear codes are in safe hands.

That actually 𝙞𝙨 a plan! In fact, that is 𝙢𝙮 plan! All I ask is that someone let me know when you lunatics have finally sorted this whole mess out. I'll be down here. Just knock on the lid when the coast is clear.

Your skeet is ambiguous and can be read in one of two ways. Did the guy strangle the dog "in self-defense" or did the dog bite the guy "in self-defense"?

And how many elected and/or rank & file Democrats were 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 stubbornly supporting Joe Biden even weeks after he made it clear to the whole nation, on live TV, and he needed 24/7 professional care? I cannot forgive this kind of political malpractice.

But how many Donkeys voted to confirm our current lunatic and grotesquely unqualified wrecking crew of cabinet members and/the members of our bent Supreme Court who ignore the law & precedent in favor of their preferred political outcomes?

I think that we are actually in violent agreement. The Elephants are worse than disgusting and I hope they all rot in hell for kissing the ass of, and enabling, a guy who thinks the Constitution is just sorta optional. They are all lower than low.

News is news. And I'm on social media more than 50% for breaking news. (I got hooked on it during the pandemic when I was on the edge of my seat every day, worried that society might collapse around me and that I'd have to fight maurading gangs for survival in a post-apocalyptic hellscape.)

[*] Actually I did get hooked on one reality TV show called "Life in the ER", but that was the only one that I watched, ever. (It was actually quite educational! You should hope that you're with me if you are ever impaled on a 2x4 wooden beam because I know just want to do.)
comment in response to post
Yea. Me neither. The only theory I've got is that they must have watched The Apprentice and they must have believed that that was NOT all just staged bullshit (which it was). I have literally NEVER watched ANY reality shows[*] so maybe that's why I didn't get sucked in to this mass delusion.

I also have one of those Eco Drive watches. I got it maybe about 15+ years ago. Before then I had to pay a jeweler ten or fifteen bucks every 6 months just to put a new battery in my old watch. Since then, $0. I prefer both friends & watches that are low maintenance. 😬

This is no longer the time for the old "get-along/go-along" mentality in Congress or elsewhere. You can't compromise with criminals. They will just eat you for lunch.

Put me down as a supporter of David Hogg. The power-greedy old people who believe that you have to wait your turn, and that they were required to show blind loyalty to Joe Biden even after it became obvious that he was well past his sell-by date, are the problem.

But I can despise all of them even while reserving a fair bit of animosity for the disorganized & stupid party that permitted such transparent, self-serving, and pandering jackasses to take power in this country,

It's all too clear right now that The Elephants are driving us all over as many cliffs as possible as fast as they can. (And not just us here in the U.S. -- everybody on this planet.)

My apologies. I did not mean to make myself appear to be impartial or nonpartisan in my abundant loathing.

I am old too. And yes, they really do want us all to just drop dead. At least one of these fuckers had the bad taste to be explicit about it. www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/03...

The bottom line is: How do we answer these questions? Who the hell flubbed the 2000 election so bad that they stuck us with George W. Bush? Who the hell flubbed the 2024 election so bad that they ended up sticking us with an orange 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 lunatic as President? We all know the answer.

Here is an informative satirical (and sarcastic) explainer about ranked choice voting from the comedic geniuses @ JuiceMedia in Australia. (Their major parties hate it too.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=bley...
comment in response to post
Both of our two major parties have conspired over the years to make it almost impossible 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙖𝙬 for any third party to take root or to win anything but minor elections. The alternative is so-called "ranked choice" voting, which tboth major parties consistantly block.
comment in response to post
That having been said, I cannot help but express my most serious disgust for the two-headed monoplistic monster that is, 𝙗𝙮 𝙡𝙖𝙬, U.S. politics.
comment in response to post
I am loathing both major U.S. parties these days, but I most certainly reserve my highest level of loathing for The Elephants, which have, pretty much to a man, sold their souls to a narcissistic dyslexic con man and criminal.

This will be my starting point for the list of dumbass concilliators in the Democratic party, i.e. the list of Dem senators who voted to confirm Clarence Thomas... you know, the guy who helped overturn Roe V. Wade & voted to make Trump exempt from criminal laws. www.senate.gov/legislative/...
