How much worse would it be though? I would like to wait and see it in person. Plus it’s got those other advantages like 1080p and 120fps.

LCD technology has improved a lot and I’m sure it will be much better than the 2017 model
Plus the Switch 2 doesn’t need more reasons to be more expensive

The rest of the games have some startup or compatibility issues. Or require Joy-Con controllers for Switch 1, but otherwise are playable if you've got them.

It’s not two types of digital games, it’s a method to move and share digital games

Used to really like Dualie Squelchers in Splatoon 2. But I think my ability to aim has decreased over time. Similar reason to why I play a lot of Pyro in Team Fortress 2 (it's now my most played class).

Semi-related, I should really try to get my Elgato Game Captrue HD60 to work on Linux.

I think the trickiest part of implementing Lua was the lack of standard file I/O. The C standard library was largely available so most of Lua worked out of the box, but due to the use of FatFs, I had to rewrite a bunch of code to work around that instead of using the standard fopen and friends.

sorry I made a post here that was worded wrongly - I meant last time I checked, nvk was able to run some games at decent speeds

isn’t there some stuff like nvk and nova in development to help make the experience better? maybe not up to the level of proprietary drivers, but not as bad as nouveau

I did that. Now on to figure out Super Paper Mario on Steam Deck again

It's also missing tilting support. Hmm.

I did a quick search and found someone did make a hack for the Classic Controller. It lacks shake support but that's fine. gbatemp.net/threads/new-...

I remember thinking The Void was so cool and/or creepy when I was much, much younger (around 11 years old).

I kinda want to go play it again, maybe on the Wii U. Or at least in an emulator using a real Wii Remote. I don't really feel like trying to set up the controls again.

I played it to completion once on the Steam Deck. If you can come up with a good-enough control scheme, the game becomes much easier when you bind “shake Wii Remote” to a button. I remember finishing the last boss much faster than any time I played it with an actual Wii Remote.
