"You can't protest like that, it's bad form", "You can't protest like that, it's bad optics" "You can't protest like that, it enables property damage" "You can't protest like that, it impedes other people" We must politely, anonymously protest from home on our parties preferred protest platform

Florida, so between Ron Desantis saying it's okay to run over protesters if they are in the street and that sheriff who was very excited at the chance to shoot protesters, I am very glad so many people still came out!

I remember him saying meds in the US costing to much for people, then promoting his cheaper meds business instead of trying to push for free healthcare like other firstworld countries. He doesn't want to fix any problems, he just wants to be the one profiting. No such thing as moral billionaires

I'm sure he's working a nice big stack of letters to send out, I'm sure that'll do it this time!

The absolute egregious hypocrisy of this administration is shown yet again. Claiming LA is a violent lawless land, while they themselves are the ones seen violently disregarding the laws.

I'm fairly certain that all these protests will bleed together, will be lots of fuck ICE signs at the No Kings protest, hopefully free Palestine too. I'm not sure they'll push a good protestors narrative at all, "nation-wide riots" will be a tempting headline.

With tech it's important to ask what are the benefits, who is receiving those benefits? It's usually capitalists no longer have to spend money on labor, and not that the laborers will now have less stress or more resources. Acceleration is a dangerous gamble, and you're gambling with others lives.

There's also the Getty Images case going on. Corpos are realizing that they also have art that is being stolen and profited off of by AI

Also, now that your are into DS, idk if you saw any of the DS2 trailers, but there's cool stuff in there that'll probably a lot cooler if you just see it happen in game first instead of in a trailer beforehand.

I think vehicles are also safe on the highway, at least it's easy enough to just outrun BTs while on the highway, ziplines are the safest with the limit being cargo complicity. also surfing down mountains on your little cargo cart after ziplining up is the best, esp if you hit a ramp on the way down

I think it would be nice if they were a bit omnipotent, they very much become something you don't have to think of outside of the BT zones, maybe some roaming BT storms idk, but them being a more constant threat idk. Maybe we'll get that in 2

Snow Crash also has a VR world where people can own plots of land in a virtual neighborhood and build their own houses. It is called the Metaverse... did Zuck know this? did he change the Facebook parent companies name to Meta just to call their VR project Metaverse like in a cyberpunk book?

maybe it's just there for a bit of diversity and to have a spooky forest in the start of the game idk, it is a cool intimidating moment hiking over the hill seeing it for the first time tho

It felt designed to show off how much you've advanced when you return to the starting area, without a compelling reason to actually go back to that zone besides the star I guess. But theres other spots that do it better.

One of the few times it felt like the game really didn't want players to do something, but they still found a way to make it work

I like the challenge of the wind farm, but specifically late game, because once you have a bunch of anti-BT tools I think it's a fun arena with pretty unique terrain, I also just love its visuals of a rainy forest haha. There are some pretty specific ziplines you can place to bypass it though

Yeah it's funny that unlocking a new pathtype can feel just as rewarding as a whole new ability. I feel like completing the highways was a nice goal/progress marker, and it's still very useful for big / multi deliveries with the truck, maybe using a zip from the highway and then back to your truck

Yeah, the bigger items are kind of like that, and thats the benefit of the shared world concept, because theres some items I only really learned the real functionality of from finding them placed in the world before I ever tried to use them myself

It's also really great design to have to do your first trips in a zone offline because it ensures people find there own paths instead of just following the flow and adds a bit of diversity in the pathing once you do get each zone connected

The way it handles community is really cool. I want to find the best place to drop a bridge, ladder, rope or whatever not just to help my future self on return trips, but to try and help build out the paths for others too.

Good, if there isn't a really compelling thought out idea then there's no reason to force a franchise to continue, besides greed ofc

Yeah it did feel a bit all over the place, My idea of what the game would actually be shifted a lot, but it does seem really cool, especially if all the different ideas seen in the trailer work well together
