"not participating" has a very dark connotation.

Private interests control the country and they're incentivized to eliminate public services so that US citizens are forced to purchase needs like healthcare from those companies. This lowers taxes so the rich can make more money, meanwhile the poor and middle-class eat the cost or don't participate.

no 😂 it doesn't upset me. In my head, milk is already at like 4°C, I couldn't imagine that getting it a couple of degrees colder was worth the effort and the extra water. I stg I just thought Bluesky was trying to algorithm me some AI account lmao. sorry about that

Hey, the economy has to run on something, right? Why not garbage since the US has nothing else to export.

Now that'll REALLY unleash their efficiency lol. I love hating on big companies as much as the next guy, but I don't think that's it big dawg.

it's still one of the best places in WNC to hop on the AT, but there's nothing to do in town there now. nowhere to spend money.

That's exactly what Hollywood WANTS you to think is important. Don't listen to them, become the person McDonald's wants you to be.

Selecting nodes at random and reading their police reports is now my favorite thing to do when I'm bored

Kojima always said he'd want to make movies if he wasn't making games. I doubt he'd walk that back, but he sure is getting a lot of experience dealing with the same problems now

The fact that DJT and RFK don't drink is astounding to me, and a little bit sobering. God maybe I should get sober

Hey, thank you for the perspective. I, a U.S. born citizen, had no idea that things had developed so differently in other parts of the world. I just... wasn't thinking about it.

I feel like I would be a great librarian except for the past where you have to organize your books?? By a numbered system??? Absolutely not, you will dig through the pile and pray your selection still has a cover.

It really is. it's good to have the perspective though! I'm glad for that much lol. thank you.

been there before on a Voice-Over commission. Anxiety and housing insecurity really did a number on my productivity, so after I think like three months of ghosting my client, I just told them I had to drop the job because I was moving.

This was probably the most disheartening part of wanting to be an artist as a kid, but when I didn't "get it" quick enough, I was pushed by my boomer parents to move on to something I was good at, like sports. Guys, I'm good at sports because I'm a kid with infinite energy... it's not the same!
