Reminder that if you unironically say shit like "rock's dead" or "music sucks now" you're just washed af actually

It's shocking how proud people are to proclaim their cowardice right now. "We have no leverage what can we do?!" "We want to keep our press credentials or it will just be 'his' people in there!" "The center is holding, relax!" "We at the 'serious' news orgs feel no need to rock the boat."

I think everyone should also learn what living things are native to their area bc u can find a lot of cool shit if u know how to look

Not the first or the last to point this out but making the end of a Phillip K Dick novel government policy is way too on the nose.

Hey fuuuuck this. They are trying so desperately to pull us apart, turn us against each other, and erase us so we are all more vulnerable and easy to pick off one at a time. We have to support each other and protect our community (even from those within that aren’t for the rest of us).

I’m headed to Stonewall to cover a protest against the Trump administration erasing trans and queer people from the Stonewall National Monument website last night. See below from ACT UP, and AP coverage of the website purge. www.huffpost.com/entry/stonew...

Happy Valentine's Day, America.

So I got to do the Packaging Illustration for the Mondo Spider-Man TAS Venom figure. This thing is massive and impressive.

Whew. This is BRAVE. When everyone else is asking what do we do, a reminder there's folks being real brave out here.

probably the most mischievous grin ever

Now more than ever.

sorry i've been so testy lately. it's just because of every single thing in the entire world

Musk is the living embodiment of AI: a broken, tech-bro tool that inserts itself into everyone's life unsolicited and makes everything worse.

Think firing the entire federal workforce will save America money? Federal civilian employees account for just 4% of the federal budget. Even if someone like Musk—or any president—fired all of us, it wouldn’t make much of a dent in government spending. Don’t fall for it.

me going to sleep before i wake up to the horrors

This is truth. SO many of you have no idea the sputtering, wild-eyed meltdown you would trigger. Criticism means nothing coming from marginalized person; they've already decided we don't matter. But YOU? You're supposed to be on THEIR side. And I can almost guaranteed they just assume you are.

EVERY VIDEO GAME CONSOLE IS FILLED WITH MASTERPIECES BECAUSE EVERY VIDEO GAME IS A MIRACLE!

anyway if you were wondering why this wasn’t posted on kotaku it’s because g/o media gets mad when we write about layoffs in anyway that “moralizes” the issue and doesn’t involve a canceled game. because people only care if they don’t get their shiny new toys, right?

Auron clearly never met a Democrat

Saying hi casually to every animal I see on my walks like I’m Snow White.

In space, no one can hear Xenomorphs and Jonesy scream.

Israel released 90 hostages in Gaza then took 90 new hostages in the West Bank. This is what Israel does and this is the vile colonial violence it’s founded on, beyond any kind of reform

We're going to make it through this 🩷💙 Let's turn our fear and rage into community action.

I have not been a Democrat for a very long time and I believe many people younger than 40 feel similarly. This country hasn’t ever reflected or protected us. We must keep pushing for one that does, one that is inherently more kind to its people.

[constantly feel that i cannot relate to anyone but my closest friends in a spontaneous or authentic way] im normal

Can't imagine the youth will be too bummed about their high energy video app being banned when they can just log onto blue sky and read sentences written by elder millennials

Here for a marathon of Twin Peaks season one

I'm glad they banned TikTok so I can share my data exclusively with American tech perverts

psyched to tell my friends I saw some hot flashes today

Not going to post a thread of book recs in honor of David Lynch, because really the best way to honor him in a bookstore is randomly wander in, wander around, & get the book that feels like a tide changing in your hands. Here's to all the beautiful weirdness that just happens & here's to seeing it!

not to make lynch's death about anyone other than lynch but the best thing that could come out of this is everyone remembering how weird you're allowed to be. make stuff you really love

if you want artists to make weirder art, you have to create stable living conditions that allow them to. homogeneity isn't a matter of artists lacking culture-- there are many soulful artists out there-- it's a matter of unregulated corporate dominance combined with artists who cant afford to create

“He was not interested in answers because he understood that questions are the drive that make us who we are. They are our breath.”

If we are to take a lesson from David Lynch's life is that we should all be our true genuine selves specially if that involves being a weirdo and/or a pervert and we need to make our art as genuine as us, as weird and perverted as us. Disregard capitalist idiots, be yourself, be happy with that.

if you dream of being an artist, no matter how much you’ve directly engaged with his work, David Lynch is the standard. he has impacted at least one thing that has impacted you; that will always be the case, even decades from now. oh, to have a modicum of his brilliance, his vision, his empathy.

THE David Lynch thread to read and share.

This is the one. It’s not the only correct argument in this thread but it’s the one with mass appeal, which is to say you don’t have to know anything about trans people to go “hey yeah”

i hate doing whataboutism but when ppl post about what's censored on rednote as a gotcha, it just shows they dont know or care abt the insane censorship on every single mainstream social media app ever like girl look up pro-palestine or abortion pill or lgbtq info on IG or post "cisgender" on X
