Domestic violence is often the environment that produces these men, because they learn it from their own fathers and mentors, and they learn to get away with all kinds of abuses through interpersonal abuse. It’s all connected, and the victims matter

Exactly! It’s nice to be nice, but being kind is mandatory.

I agree! If it’s so important to her they share the duty bc there are good reasons for it (both work) and he loves her, sharing makes sense, doesn’t it? What a silly thing to get divorced over.
Unless he “put his foot down” and refused any kind of accommodation. Maybe it’s not the dishes then..

I get it. It’s important to take care of yourself and nurture kindness in a bitter world. But if being nice makes you turn away when other people are being hurt ….that’s not niceness. It’s cowardice — or worse, endorsement.

I wonder if the perceived self-obsession/selfishness is the product of ignorance by design, shored up with misinformation from trusted sources. On top of that, most Americans are white-knuckling it, and living in fear of losing what they have. They are easily deceived into blaming the wrong people.

If you look at Experian now, they do so much more than credit reporting. They have auto insurance, credit cards, and money cards. If they got access to the IRS info, it would put Experian at a huge advantage over its competitors.
