Right. And if you're upper middle class to rich and you overextended yourself then you have the resources to fix it. Having resources is literally the distinction between poor and not poor. You can make all the excuses for these people that you like though.

That's fair. I'm from the USA and I hold Americans primarily responsible for the fuckery that is going down right now. So that's who I was specifically talking about. I feel for Canadians and I don't fault them for this. Especially since their govt. actually caring about sustainability.

Poor people 'overextending' themselves does not look like buying a Tesla. It looks using credit to pay rent on-time with credit. Let's not dickride for a group of wealthy (or at least upper middle class) bigots who don't want to make sacrifices for their bad decisions.
