worst I've seen: at one of my previous buildings there was a single wheel locked to the rack with a for sale sign. it was "on the market" from the day we moved in, to the day we left. but I had enough room for my one bike at the time so I never reported it lol

Well said. I'm trying to temper my expectations a little bit but hope the best for Zohran and still believe this to be a good step forward.

Personally I'd accept nothing less than some big rallies and...idk, mailers? to make up for this massive blunder.

doesn't this feel like how politics is meant to work? coalition building, community building.

but one thing is clear, the current situation is not cutting it. I've just started a new apartment search and the one (elevator-less) building I found with bike storage had 6 or 7 spots in a 29 unit complex. I could practically fill that up myself lol

Solutions: additional storage (not just for dusty 🚲, but emergency/seasonal supplies, etc.) must also be common. Elevators help obsessive riders (🙋) clutter their own living room w/ 🚲. New street lockers improve short & long term storage. and more 🚲infrastructure encourages people to actually ride!

Also, tons of people have bikes they never use! my building's tiny storage is full, yet I have never seen A SINGLE BIKE leave the rack.
My parents' 1920s apt surprisingly has the best bike parking I've ever seen, and it's also filled with bikes that mostly collect dust, but plenty of riders, too.

a couple challenges about bike parking: numbers can balloon quickly. most driving households will have 1 or 2 cars. if every person has 1 bike, that can be 1-4/household. and many nerds such as myself have multiple bikes. although I can't expect an apartment building to accommodate my growing fleet😅

I'm just watching from Seattle, where we've got the Democratic establishment coalescing around our own mini coumo, and hoping things go well for the both of us.

Bell, CA: A convoy of unmarked kidnapper vehicles caused an accident today in Bell, causing them
to have to stop in the street. The community quickly surrounded the terrorists and began to film them.
One of the terrorist vehicles tried to drive away through the crowd and quickly sprung a leak.
