Govts in league with big tech are selling the concept of The Network State, the private city, the bunker for the rich, they're selling it in different ways before the public wake up' www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pw7n...

Protest changes the permission structure. It says fascists will not be allowed to proceed unencumbered. And if you didn't think there was anything to be done, a protest shows you many think otherwise.

Every so often, it just comes back to me in full force. The political and economic order that allowed this man to come to power is obviously no longer tenable. The leaders who let it happen obviously have to be replaced. This is an epoch defining failure and we have to turn the page completely.

upon reflection, I have to insist once more that a society interested in its long term health has really got to discourage baldfaced lying rather than constantly rewarding it

They're firing people, stripping agencies for parts, and selling property because they think putting it back together again will be impossible. It's a lot harder and more expensive to build than to destroy.

A sound response, i.e. noting that the callousness with which federal workers are being fired reflects how all working Americans will eventually be treated by today’s billionaire-run government. . . and how the masses must collectively mobilize to stop it. www.youtube.com/live/QlrQKv1...

Waymo is peak American innovation. With way less money they could have built a reliable public transport network, but instead someone was like "what if we could find a way for empty vehicles to contribute to traffic too? There's no reason we can't have more cars on the road than there are drivers"

“Loneliness and isolation can lead to: 29% increased risk of heart disease; 32% increased risk of stroke; 50% increased risk of developing dementia among older adults; and 60% increased risk of premature death.” Surgeon General recommends designing cities to create more connections. #WalkableCities

The blackout doesn’t have to end today. Commit to spending your dollars locally so they stay out of the hands of mega corporations and billionaires. Follow our boycott guide and continue to support micro economies in your local town or city. #50501movement #PeoplesMovement #FiftyFiftyOne

accelerationism is an idealist fantasy whose core faith is the spontaneity of mass (re)action. it forgets entirely that all political action requires organization. conditions are never sufficient, no matter how bad they get; there is no such spontaneity. this is why it is ultimately antipolitical

On yet another extravagant ploy to sacrifice the world we know and love to a ridiculous belief system that annuls all responsibility and aggregates maximum power for the ultra-wealthy: organizingmythoughts.org/the-frighten...

This is wonderful. Beautifully filmed, informative, and a joy to watch Follow @domgreves.bsky.social for more...

Congestion pricing is one of the most amazingly effective policies in NYC transit in possibly a half century. Which supporters predicted - and why pro-car advocates fought so hard to stop it, since its success may encourage its spread.

The most iconic figure in the environmental sciences is the Keeling Curve, the CO₂ record from Mauna Loa, Hawaii. @noaa.gov had a wonderful site where you could visualize and download these data, and now it's just gone. These data belong to us and we should not let this happen!

The Treasury Department right now. People are turning out against Musk and DOGE staging a takeover of the Treasury’s payment system. This crowd is big. The whole block is packed. “Lock him up,” everyone yells.

Send this video to your representatives via email and tell them to repeat these words over and over again everywhere.

USAID is a massive funder of global biodiversity conservation Shutting it down will accelerate the extinction of endangered species and the collapse of our life support systems

On a bike, you’re not hidden behind metal and glass, you’re a part of the world around you. This visibility fosters human connection, whether through a nod, a glance, or just being seen. It’s a reminder of shared spaces and shared humanity.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world. Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO
