I am in love that opening for Sanctuary Moon with the petit homage to Voyager

Next time you're in New York, I'll introduce you to Angel Hands!

It was with great pleasure I stuck it out through the heat wave to vote against that pos.

Well, he voted to table discussion till a later date. That's not quite the same thing. Other than that I agree with you.

Oh boy do I. Not sure what you mean by obvious but The Expanse series; Steerswoman series; Broken Earth Trilogy; Murderbot Diaries; Ancillary series; Ardulum series; Children of Time; Alien Clay… just off the top of my head

Two down, by all means keep whittling (Fetterman is a unique case, calling him unhinged after a stroke is an interesting choice of language. Both examples are pretty representative of their constituents)

It’s most beautiful in full movie like form. Harder to appreciate the story in 20 minutes a week

They could call it Titan I guess.

Oh I fully understand your point. You can literally whittle away every single person in office with this very sharp tool.

I love that this is a clip from Rightside no less.

You do know they're human beings functioning in a government right? Imperfect is the territory.

Her other 2 series, Broken Earth and Inheritance, are quite different in setting, genre and structure, but in that regard, very much same.

well, look, active Dems can't stop the Republicans all by themselves you know.

But Murderbot is completely about cheating. It’s cheating its way through the first 4 novellas at least. From literally the first sentence it’s gaming its own system.

Just started rereading NK Jemisin’s Broken Earth Trilogy. It’s a little dense at first but that’s not a bad thing. One of the few books that I remember visually — the locations and people, the incidents of their lives all vivid as if I’d been there.

If you get a chance check out the TV show based on them. Of course it’s not exactly the same deeply intimate narrative from the books, but it’s wonderful.

It's a nice pairing, from a nerdy girl/nb pov -- but then I grew up with 70s muscle cars n guitars

Why did I know I'd find this out from you when it's nowhere else online. <3

Agree. I felt insulted for Murderbot and its whole crew. She has that Sus vibe, anyway.
comment in response to post
I love this so much

She’s also filling in narrative about events at Deltfall. But I have a feeling there’s more to her than what she’s letting on

🤣 it’s from the dawn of FM radio, when great local stations first began playing insanely good hi fi rock albums, and the quality of live albums as well as recorded was starting to improve. So we got to hear entire songs instead of the abbreviated top ten format. Sadly long gone era.

One of those songs I’ve listened to so many times I can replay the whole thing in my head.

You even got his accent right

Your hubby is the king of the righteous men! What a great episode though

Watching weekly short eps made me myopic. I was afraid they overplayed the PresAux team’s emotional/social side, like Mensah’s panic attacks in 1-3; she’s a cool customer in Book Mbot’s eyes (if you ignore the arm waving and exclamations). Hour long eps sorely needed!

You’re paraphrasing Murderbot right now!7

And now I need a Silkwood scrub to get the AI ick off me, thanks.

#Murderbot Diaries, Martha Wells; The #Steerswoman series, Rosemary Kirstein; Red Rising, Pierce Brown; The Silo series, Hugh Howey; The Ancillary series, Ann Leckie, The Expanse series, James SA Corey; just off the top of my head. Hope you find something interesting!

Please continue to report on these men as the press would women politicians. Even Gloria Steinem said shit shared equally is better than shit shared unequally.

@karlsweb.bsky.social we need to get this individual some Expanse cosplay help!
comment in response to post
If you head over the Facebook, the private group Expanse Cosplay likely has that, they have everything and if they don’t, just post and ask for help. Those huts are amazing. One guy built my Tycho Medical sleeve art just perfectly and gave me the files. He’s one of my Con buddies now!

Great way to treat people who trust you! 👍

They do in the books but thank god not in the show. It’s space cringe to waste air like that

Want to really get a good crop of em, create a misogynoir honeypot account on the Bad Place. You could probably just post positive things about black and brown women and get enough material to write a book about it

It’s amazing and we’re promoting the hell out of it on The Expanse Geeks FB page. Thanks for your hard work!
