Re: that last post. I made friends with a bunch of the local Mando Mercs about 15 years ago and I watched them still sort of reeling from those episodes and it definitely solidified in me for a long time the understanding that publishing was not canon and I shouldn't care about exploring it at all.

This is ancient history now and I guess it easier to bring up, but it was all done in good faith. In the early 2000s, the franchise/publishing side of Star Wars storytelling figured - quite fairly - that the Mandalorians were fair game to explore.
