The Gay Agenda says: “Be gay.” What homophobes thinks this means: 🐧 Plot how to convert people with books about penguins. What I’m actually doing: 📧 replying to 87 emails, 🔌 hunting for a charger, 😃 and wondering if hummus counts as a personality. Success.

If I’m getting same-sex married, when we arrive is it a same-sex entrance? When we eat is it a same-sex meal? When we have a boogie is it a same-sex dancefloor? When we leave is it a same-sex exit?

I definitely feel the pressure to look like the after photo - but personally, I’d definitely prefer the before picture in a partner. How have we arrived at this delusion that most people want the second one in a partner?

Eating pizza and annoying men? Literally what I do every Thursday night. Little did I know it was in honour of the suffragettes.

What homophobes think my gay agenda day is: • 9am: Ruin sanctity of marriage • 10am: Turn the penguins gay • 12pm: Drag brunch with Satan • 3pm: Indoctrination seminar • 6pm: Dance battle • 9pm: Full moon ritual with Cher What it actually is: food shopping & laundry.

I wish I was telling you a gallant story about my stag weekend in Berlin where I got injured saving someone’s life, but no… I fell over a stationary scooter & cut my head open resulting in a ride in a German ambulance and stitches. Apart from that, an amazing weekend 😂

St George was not English, never saw a dragon, supported immigration & multiculturalism, & would’ve hated Reform. Let’s talk about Britain’s most confusing but possibly interesting patron saint… 👇

Say goodbye to this innocent face, who I imagine will come back very traumatised from his stag weekend in Berlin starting tomorrow. Please send wishes and prayers

What a brilliant day at Coleg Gwent's Health & Wellbeing Roadshow in Crosskeys! We spoke to 100+ students, gathered ideas to boost inclusion, and gave out free pin badges to loads of excited learners 🏳️‍🌈 Thanks for having us — can’t wait to come back! #LGBT #inclusionmatters #education

Not all books with diverse characters are good—because diversity alone doesn’t make a story worth reading. Great books should reflect the real world. Representation matters, but story comes first. What are your favourite books with diverse characters but are also a great read?

If a school can shut down racist, sexist, or ableist bullying without ‘getting political,’ then it can tackle homophobia and transphobia too. The real question is: why aren’t they?

Saying Mum & Dad isn’t wrong - assuming every child has a mum & dad is. Some have two mums, two dads, carers, guardians etc. If you know a child has a mum & dad, then great, say it! But it costs nothing to say parents & carers when you don’t know. No one loses anything, but some gain a lot.

It’s impossible to tell if someone’s gay from just looking at them…

Me pretending that I’m definitely not excited about the Minecraft movie and am only here to chaperone 11

11 is at a swimming pool with a friend & the number of adults who are being told off for taking photos from the viewing area is insane. Since when did some people think it’s acceptable to take pictures of kids in swimming pools?

Every time I go to a self service checkout to buy wine and they click 'Visibly over 25', it's like a knife to the heart.

Want to make your school more LGBTQ+ inclusive but don’t know where to start? Here’s step one: Ask yourself, ‘If a learner came out today, what support would they get?’ If you don’t know the answer, it’s time to fix that. Get in touch if you need any help with this.

Hello Cambridge. 👋 Time for a later dinner then up early to deliver an LGBTQ+ inclusion workshop to trainee Primary School teachers in Cambridge Uni tomorrow, talking about how inclusion is far More Than Flags and Rainbows.

The fact that left wing, right wing, straight, LGBTQ+, gender critical, teachers, non teachers, RSE specialists, non RSE specialists & many groups who generally do not agree, all agree that showing Adolescence in schools is a really bad idea should tell the government something!

I don’t like the word ‘tolerate.’ We tolerate cold weather and taxes. LGBTQ+ learners deserve to be accepted, included, and valued—not just tolerated like an inconvenience. If I could get rid of tolerate from posters that encourage inclusion, I'd get rid of every single one.

"‘LGBTQ+ history isn’t relevant to kids!’ Neither is the Battle of Hastings in their daily lives, but we teach it because history shapes the world we live in. LGBTQ+ people have always existed—pretending they haven’t doesn’t change that, it just keeps kids uninformed."

If a learner comes out as LGBTQ+ at school and their first fear is how teachers will react, that’s not 'keeping schools neutral'—that’s creating an unsafe environment. Schools need to actively create an accepting environment, and communicate that learners will be supported if they come out.

Well, I’ve just spent the last 2 hours crying my eyes out at the unexpectedly beautiful Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. What a moving tribute to love and loss, which will definitely become my new film when I need a good cry over a bottle of wine!

If a school can teach respect for different religions without making every child convert, it can teach respect for LGBTQ+ people without 'turning them gay'.

I like my roast dinners with the traditional veg, but want some inspiration for some new ideas. Hit me up with your best veg ideas for a pork roast dinner tomorrow. I normally have: Roast potatoes Parsnip puree (delish) Cabbage Carrots & peas Yorkshires (always) Your turn, go!

Yaaaaaaaaas queen! 👏 🫰

"‘There’s no need for LGBTQ+ books in schools, kids won’t relate to them!’ Ah yes, because nothing says ‘relatable’ like talking animals, flying broomsticks, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

This morning, I’m off to have my blood drained like a medieval plague victim for my first haemochromatosis treatment, & then 11 heads off for his first residential trip away. On the surface: calm, collected. Inside: a churning cauldron of anxiety, dread, and mild nausea—funsies!

What a fab day working with the Active Learning Trust headteachers & senior leaders! Delving into topics like bias & their impact in schools is challenging but crucial for inclusivity. It was great to arrive at the start of a set of inclusion principles so every child feels safe, seen & supported.

On my way with More Than Flags and Rainbows to work with school leaders from the @activelearning trust on tackling bias and building DEIB principles for the whole trust. No tick box nonsense, no virtue signalling, but working to create change that is More Than Flags and Rainbows.

Them: Why does everything you do have to be about you being gay? Me: I don’t know what you mean! Also me on the train…

"Schools shouldn’t talk about LGBTQ+ people, let kids be kids!’ And yet, I'm still waiting to see the same people outraged when people ask their young kids if they are boyfriends and girlfriends. Or does ‘let kids be kids’ only apply when there's a suggestion that they might not be straight?

I don’t use queer for myself but it described people who weren’t straight as early as the 19th Century, while gay only took off for men in the 1960s. For many, it still hurts. Some love it, some hate it. But watching men say gay not queer like it’s a power move is ridiculous.

OH NO, someone called me ‘woke’! How will I ever recover? Yes, I believe in equality, kindness, and basic human rights—terrifying stuff. Next, they’ll be accusing me of thinking before I speak!

It’s been at least 20 years since I’ve had processed peas. They remind me of warming dinners from mum in the winter. Here’s hoping they’re as delicious as I remember! What’s the food that reminds you of good times at home?

We learned all about Henry VIII’s six wives but not that King James (yes, the King who commissioned the King James Bible) wrote love letters to various men. Funny how ‘learning history’ stops when it gets a little bit gay.
