Online advertising targeting is not at all sophisticated. In fact, it is very much a blunt instrument.

Been my favorite economist, though he's more of a political economist, for many years, and was probably the first voice to predict Trump's victory in 2016. His working class background provides a unique and practical insight into the economy, politics and its interface with ordinary working folk.

When Labour becomes just another neolib status quoist with little but packaging difference to the Tories, expect people to go to the fake populists. If Labour offered true populist pro worker anti billionaire policies they'd have won by landslides. It's not hard to explain.

Adam's gradual radicalization to becoming a defender of the proletariat and trade unionist has been incredibly enjoyable to watch.

All his videos are worth a watch, this one felt like a genuine lament. Recommended.

Where does this interpretation of trade deficits come from? It's been at the heart of the new admins decisions. Which right think tank has inserted this notion into DJT?

I've got teary eyed on planes watching movies that have no right to make me so emotional. Probably dumb stuff like an x-man movie.

If it wasn't for an American Army Dr at the Somme, my Great Grandfather would've been left to die in a literal pile of bodies. Both men experienced the kindness of Americans in exceptionally dark times and my family exists because of an army doctor.

My grandad fought in every European theatre in WW2 in the RAF regiment, a bren gunner, in Africa, Italy, DDay, Battle of the Bulge, Occupied Germany. He loved the yanks in WW2, nothing but respect for them, even if they had all the gear and no idea.

The electronic counter messages to Russian Fab bombs and glide kits has severely slowed Russia, probably the most important innovation for Ukraine so far. Since this, they've started to turn the tide.

It's time for all USA aligned social media to be banned by the old allies.

Agreed. I heard a pretty average left YouTuber calling the current USA admin's efforts a move to post-soviet Russia. And I've been thinking about it ever since.

Never thought I'd be saying that's welcoming to hear, but here we are. My wife is Japanese and we'll likely be residing there soon. Understanding the new geopolitical reality will of course affect our decisions.

It's a sad day when we're telling Japan their security relies on developing your own nuclear arsenal. At least those conversations are starting in Japan.

Great thread. EU needs to seize the moment and ban American aligned social media. It's the only way to unify and create a shared anti Russian posture.

Now's the time for an eu wide ban on America aligned social media platforms.

Suspect he was carrying the injury and hoping it would reduce or be treatable by fight day, but painkillers/nsaids weren't helping enough. We all knew it was too good to be true anyway.

It's wild that I now spend more time listening to Luke (and BC) talk about UFC, Boxing and MMA more than I ever watch of the UFC, MMA and Boxing.

Chaotic Evil? Nah, Trump does not have an ethos, he's tactical and transactional. It's Chaotic Neutral.

After reading about Zuck bending the knee and pledging himself to the broligarchy, and then threatening to attack Europe with the US's economic power to be able to flood them with misinfo, I found myself thinking, maybe china got it right. And that is not like me.

Maybe it was just a tik tok gone really badly wrong, he was going to do a cyber truck x trump fireworks crossover awesome scene to create a viral clip. And accidentally shot himself in the head.
