I do wonder if the batting has got better and more powerful over the last year that catches are coming harder & faster at teams which they haven’t caught upto.

As I said though, Threlkeld is the one selected for the stronger squads so does show she’s picking keepers

Also given that the select XIs are considerably more experienced and better squads than the A team, arguably Threlkeld is seen as a better keeper than Southby.

Neither of them are better keepers and once again England are picking on batting rather than Keeping. But then again we saw what they did in the WI series so clearly they don’t look at putting people in where they should be playing

That’s exactly how I feel it will go. Especially if they make them mid week stand alone too, they are definitely going to push them to a ground where they don’t need worry and end up not on TV also.

It’s definitely the 2nd one imo. This is saying to the new (predominantly male) owners that they can have what they want and if that means pushing the women aside to have money for the men that’s fine.

I get the theory but it’s not like they couldn’t have done that with Lamb up top Not like she doesn’t open in T20 and is hitting at 129 sr right now (higher than SD & NSB) If Lottie is going to make a thing of picking on domestic games, not them playing them in those positions is odd

No mention of the mighty Lancashire County cup victory?! I can do you a whole 30 minute Vlog if you would like 😉🤣

You sign for a Tier 2 you should be playing for them, not going out on loan to another Tier for 1 comp then coming back for another. Boyce has been playing for Blaze all season plus played regularly for Thunder before that.

I made it 92 off my head so I’ll take it

Not very nice calling Syd stupid 🤣 Bang on when it comes to the loan issues, they’ve clearly taken advantage of loopholes that need to be tightened. I’m Syd, only 1 move allowed and once you move you play for that team only, and if you come up against your old team you are “cup tied” and can’t play

It’s bad enough that the games have now been made difficult for anyone to attend but it shows once again the poor scheduling & lack of concern for the women’s game by the ECB Feels like 2 steps forward, 1 step back again.

Once again we find that the men’s club game is taking priority over the professional women’s game. The premise of Tier 2 teams getting home games is noble but it leads to these situations in which games are forced to share with club grounds and pushed aside for men’s club games

Can only assume that they are intending to create their own version of succession. Very much a dynasty of old team mates all together.

NSB is one of the best All rounders in the world (4th currently) but right now can’t perform that role is picked and yet the best bowler in the world isn’t. I’m fine with them not being picked because of injury/fitness but it does become contradictory in their wording.

Excellent as always. I do think England/Lottie have to be careful with there wording, SE not picked due to injury and not playing enough, yet the captain who also has an injury and hasn’t played at all (Parental leave excluded) is waved on as if there is nothing to see
