It pains me to say this, but the Jetsiest outcome is that Aaron Rodgers ends up being shockingly successful with the Giants.

I think it's time we acknowledge the very feel possibility that the rapture happened and that Gene Hackman, his wife, and only one of his dogs were the only ones God deemed worthy.

Finding a durable casual shoe has been difficult. Durable means "lasts at least a year with moderate walking" and casual means "doesn't look like a running shoe." The Adidas Dailies I wore previously all developed holes at 6 months. I'm trying Lems now and will report back.

Didn't have Severance themed insurance ads on my bingo card.

Sometimes it's better to just illustrate and share your terrible puns instead of letting life get you down.

I wonder how many great TV shows started with meetings where some creator nervously smiled while effectively telling some exec “oh yes, this will definitely be a safe show for normal humans because it will be made by very normal and safe humans like you… I mean us.”

Just got a alert from Google (which links to Google) that a email account I did not set up is about to expire after two years of inactivity and that my actual Gmail was set as the backup address. Not clicking, but is this some sort of scam that I wasn't aware of?

Until last night, I didn't think bird themed football teams could actually hold onto a seemingly insurmountable half-time lead.

At companies of any notable size, there's always a bit of theater, gaming, and politics to measuring performance. I have taken personality tests and written countless essays to promote myself. I wonder if this dystopia system is a direct reaction to Microsoft's previous one: stack ranking.

why is this so real rn

Sowing: Hell yeah, I'm in control of the damn R train baby! Reaping: [10 minutes later, exhausted] "Let 'em off, people, let 'em off. Please do not hold the doors, there is another train just behind this one. Step in and stand clear, 28th Street, 28th Street is next." www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news...

@robertmays.bsky.social I was thinking Rooney rule theater happens when an owner knows who he wants and really isn't interested in interviewing anyone else and am wondering if the NFL could somehow focus the rule on coaching searches specifically (i.e. once a team meets with more than one prospect.)

I just thought of the perfect analog for how the NY Times covers Trump. They're like how Zelda announces the blood moon in Tears of the Kingdom. If you know, you know.

I would also like to add that that I won't be trading this suburban house, no matter how swanky and luxurious the offer.

As a Patriots fan, it was funny watching a bunch of people pivot immediately from "post season success doesn't make Julian Edelman a HOF candidate" to "post season success is exactly why Eli Manning is worth HOF consideration!"

You know what they say. Lies, damn lies, and...

I shouldn't have to support LGBTQ+ folk in the way that I don't have to support those with big feet, because both are normal and natural. The thing is folks with big feet don't scare the ignorant and so fascists can't target them. Fascists do target LGBTQ+ folk and thus will always have my support.

The coverage of this administration will fall into three buckets: 1. It's normal. 2. It's not newsworthy because everyone knew this was going to happen. 3. Joe Biden didn't stop this.

bluesky really is hittin' the big time i guess

Motion to replace the term "AI hallucinations" with "AI bullshit".
