Love walking in the Lakes, Cornwall, AFC Wimbledon and Crystal Palace. I know I should not have two clubs but I do.

Wharton brilliant but shout out to Richards for the winning press on Mateta’s game changing second goal. He just appears from nowhere!

Palace’s passing was pretty poor first half. Villa tactics squeezed the space in midfield. Interesting to see if Glasner has the answers.

Beating 12 players at the moment.

Lovely ball from Adam Wharton. It’s been great to see his positivity all game, even when things have not worked out he’s kept going.

We are playing well

It’s Everton and they are physical and at home we’ve not stood up well to that. But Glasner acknowledged all that and Brentford in his interview today so you go, maybe he does have a plan again, as he normally does. But still with ultimate pessimism. Maybe that helps him.

Yep. It is an odd one as he sounds very sensible most of the time otherwise

I had a lot of hope for Sarr, but Glasner is surely getting the best out of him in these away games. Pace and power and drive and defending too!

The game was very similar to the West Ham one. Palace largely controlled it and manure were toothless. Still the risk that they score one and the game changes, but they didnt. We saw out the win very comfortably.

Yes shame crucial goal giveaways at key times

I far prefer it here but yes you’re right I still check over there on match days.

Agree with all of this. Kamala and Doucoure ultimately did better than I expected. Wharton is England class and will improve any team.

He’s really lost his mojo. Hopefully he can get it back. Looks like it’s going to take some time. Him and Kamara centre mid is not exactly ideal.

Glasner has really developed Sarr into a Wilf like player. Great signing and great improvement

It’s a bit of a mare timewise isn’t it. Maybe goff slings Detroit into 21-0 lead in no time at all and I can get some sleep?

I wholeheartedly agree. Caimh (pronounced queeve) is a simply brilliant writer. The books get funnier and slightly lighter as well.

I think it was nerves. I woke uk early thinking about the game and worrying. It was a must win. And we did. We will get better I think. Sarr turning into a menace.

Nudging closer and closer to 20 points from 19 games which seemed a long way off 10 games ago. But it’s not entirely convincing is it?

“Surrey retained the red ball prize” was I think the two seconds on county cricket. Not surprised you missed it!

He didn’t let go of the ball last night even when there were players open, then he got sacked. So stats alone don’t tell you everything. Darnold had an interception but given it was on fourth down you could liken it to a punt as he got Viking’s another 15 yards!

And you were sort of right

And he got an assist today, so that’s progress!

Also slow him down and give him time on the ball.

That was a lovely watch. Helped that my school mate Phil Donaldson at Wimbledon Chase and then Rutlish was one of the main interviewees! I used to go to Wimbledon with him but he switched from football to the dogs, his real passion. Nice to see his dad on it too, who took me along too occasionally.

Hey you’re bound to play better than you did today. As a palace fan it was not an easy watch, but we had the one moment of rare (for Mateta) quality. There’s potential in your team and manager. You have to think 35 points to stay up. Points can come anywhere.

Nk has been really poor for us so far. He didn’t deserve 5 mins in my view but given what we paid for him we can’t give up

I went to Portman Road that season. Drew 2-2, Southgate missed a last min pen. And we go down on GD to Ipswich

Oh my. I’ve been through a few of them. Worst was Jan 88 when our RB ran through for a game winning touchdown with the last play and fumbled on the one yard line. Losing to the falcons with Cunningham - Moss 14-2 was pretty bad to!

They are a proper Palace match aren’t they! No Super Bowl wins, four finals, none since I’ve supported them - forty years (1984). Plus purple is a mix of red and blue.
