Just wondering if exports count in the WWF donation calculations? Not clear in the email.

I was told in ‘92 by someone younger than I am now that it was “too difficult to go vegan”. Sadly I believed them, and it took me another 26 years before finally ditching the dairy and egg. The biggest “difficulty” is always with/from others and never yourself.

How is the social cost of carbon calculated?

Where is this reported? Shocking if true. Times when demand is highest will be times when the wholesale price is high too. At 22p/kWh nobody will take part and this will increase the likelihood of blackouts.

Do you have a better idea, or will we have headlines like “Glastonbury sells out in 6 minutes” by 2028? Maybe that’s part of the experience, but still impossible for people like me to get tickets.

Odd take. My inference is that while fossil fuels are the cause of climate change, the ecocidal industrial capitalist machine is addicted to oil, still increasing emissions with no plans to stop. It will only stop when reserves are exhausted. We are all slaves to the machine in one way or another.

Totally ridiculous situation. 210,000 tickets and there’s a mad scrum to get them every single year. Much better to register your interest at any point in a given year, and assign all tickets on the day by lottery. Simple.

3.3 kWh solar generation today, but great to take advantage of the low Octopus Agile rates this morning of 9.04p/kWh to charge the battery. Winter will soon pass and we will return to surplus energy production in the spring.

I asked for a weather station for my 16th birthday and painstakingly recorded all the data points on paper for the next 5 years while working on algorithms to allow for predictions. Ended up working in defence sector and I still miss metrology.

Er, not going to be a good experience in a strong side wind! Spoken from experience riding an electric moped in a costal UK city.

Been composing our food scraps for 2 years now and the system basically runs itself without any need of additional equipment. Plus it improves the yield of our veg patch.

Been looking at something like this for myself to run errands, deliveries and food shopping. Is there a UK based company who makes them?

Such a great infographic! This was one of the main drivers in me finally going plant based in 2019.

Certainly felt like 50% of those were bots according to my experience. Real users probably nearer 250k. At the rate Bsky is growing we will be at that level soon.

So basically we are left at risk of catastrophic flooding like that which happened earlier this year www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/weather...
