The 20th-century pioneers of “teaching machines”, BF Skinner and Sidney Pressey, would have been nodding along approvingly as they admired the latest “personalized learning” and “automated teaching” innovations, if they had lived long enough to see their mechanical dreams on digital display at BETT.

The problem is though (in relation to banning U16s) that this bill isn’t really regulating big tech companies, it’s regulating children and their parents. Furthermore, there are concerns from social media/tech experts (people with far greater insight than me) that this is rushed & bad legislation.
