💯💯💯 I still remember watching Princess Mononoke in theaters and gasping at the iron-infected mad forest god, multiple characters losing limbs, the gushing blood, stabbing, etc. It's not "The Disney of Japan" and it's ALWAYS WEIRD to see it referred to as such.
