Yeh I'm having a little break atm. The endless repetitive k tropes can get a bit much. Got apple offer for 3 months, so watching some uk drama (Slow Horses and Bad Sisters) and waiting for Murderbot. Then will probably jump back in.

Haha, we do need marks for lightweightness. Definitely silly.
But I was expecting a heavy costume drama for some reason.

I actually love a good romcom but other things seem less talked about.

Have you got a good recipe? It's on my list ..

I must've missed that etiquette lesson. Along with many others.

Most of my life I got 'you look well' if I somehow lost weight. After cancer diagnosis fat seems to equal 'you look well'.
Swings n roundabouts.

No, never heard of it till today.

Ah yes, I was too.
The Sassy was a bit confusing ;)

I enjoyed this more than I expected to.

Slow Horses is sooo dingy. Filthy in fact. Just like the book describes. Nice to see actual people without all the pseudo glam fillers n toxins n ridiculously expensive clothes.
But I can't get the stupid subtitles to stay off :(

Oh yes, Slow Horses! Loved the books. Ta v much.

That reminds me of all the dreadful romance novels I read in my teens. 'He loved her so much he couldn't control himself'.
🤮
Disgusting isn't it?!

It's so good.
All those sharks in suits stalking each other, trying to get a kill. I'm not sure it's great for their companies, but that's the culture. *Shudder*

Can't like this.
I agree :(

I don't think I can watch that ;)
I still remember KFC'd rats occasionally in the uk news 🤮
Has that stopped happening or reporting been suppressed I wonder 🤔

I wonder what the richbros are threatening if they don't.
I also wonder who puts their lips to a newly elected PM's ear and what they say. They start looking terrified and age overnight.
Whatever the answers, they should be telling us all, so we can rise up or sommat, before it's too late.

Pachinko the book is great.
Will have to try the drama....

Ah, I only seem to watch kdramas, not films.
No need for more graphic sex and violence in my life. More than enough in the news :(

Don't mind some BL or FL. I liked Semantic Error, if only for the title.
Thank you again, I really appreciate all your suggestions.

I liked Study Group and am enjoying Undercover High School, but there's only so many adults dressed as schoolkids I can take. The bullying makes me really upset.
Give me an older Hyun Bin romance any day :)
comment in response to

Loved this, quite unusual for the sex references. I actually like the general lack of sex scenes in kdramas - they get boring quickly.

Fir sime reason I didn't watch much of this. Will try again.

Hah, I enjoyed this one. I like silly sometimes. I mean, it's not like all the normal romance tropes are in any way realistic.

Thank you!
My 'to watch' list is too big.
Not into serial killers; the Witch was interesting but stalky ;)
Def dropped:
Partners for Justice, too gory
Shopaholic Louis - v silly
Taxi Driver - too violent
The Whirlwind, boring
Twentieth Century Girl film, Yawn
Vagabond - too violent. Shame

Anything except too much violence or blood. Cartoony set pieces are ok.

I like to vary what I eatch. Romcims can get very samey. Much better with some serious comedy scenes.
I also like legal dramas, detectives, scifi...
comment in response to
post
Yes, I found it pretty scary in places. Very different :)

If you know any decent Hyun Bin dramas, let me know. Apart from CLOY of course
Secret Garden was ok, but that gorrilla thing... Nope

This and Healer are so swoony.
