Heaven knows how they’re handling the visually impaired folks

With our really long ballot (Carleton) it's helpful to remember the name as they are in alphabetical order (Fanjoy, about half way down the left column). Reading for the party affiliation is much slower.

Before they put party affiliation on the ballot I remember one grandmom who forgot to check the name of her local candidate and voted for the one with the nice Irish name later discovering that he was the candidate for the communist, not conservative, party

Until I hit the word "states" and looked back at your handle, I thought you were talking about turnout at Canadian advance polling locations. We see what's happening in your country and apparently vote in record numbers.

I think some people who are anti Poilievre are also very opposed to first past the post and might choose to protest rather than strategically vote for Fanjoy

That looks right to me. I wanted to take a picture but the nice elections Canada folks said it wasn’t allowed. Kudos to whoever managed to get one

Ok, be as rude as you like to a machine! I generally just hang up but it could be satisfying to give a harmless rant sometimes

Speaking as a person doing some of those "robocalls" for another party, but assuming the NDP use a similar list system, we on the phones don't have your address - I think for privacy protection reasons. We're just doing our best. Feel free to politely tell us you're not interested.

A group of us canvassing for Bruce Fanjoy (opposing PP in Carleton) were discussing the last election in which we voted conservative and some were pretty recent.

Bruce is about half way down in the left column. I feel for the Elections Canada folks dealing with ballot boxes filling ridiculously fast

Yet more of picking the worst US policies and importing them to Canada. Next thing maybe he’d like to elect judges

We heard that in Stittsville too. Including one house where another of our canvassers had just been asked for a sign from the neighbor across the street. We thought it would be fun when that one went up. Be first!

I'm in a rural part of Poilievre's riding and I'm thrilled to say my Liberal sign is not alone in my neighborhood! And yes, I was shocked and kept mine in the garage for a couple of days until one of my neighbors was brave enough to go first. Be first in your neighborhood and you may be surprised!

Wow. Guess that’s a low risk for me, right now my small sign is far from my house and insulated with lots of new snow

It was Stephen Harper that convinced me, a former lifelong conservative, to switch parties. I'm guessing I'm not alone. I live in Poilievre's riding and have a liberal sign on my rural lawn. And it didn't get destroyed by the goons this week.

I'm with you, I'm sticking with Costco in Canada - although I wish they'd up the proportion of non U.S. products. It also would be nice if they stopped stocking some of my U.S. favorites so I don't need to feel sad not buying them.

Now everyone who is willing to say they didn't vote for Trump needs to take the next step (as this man appears to be doing) and work on convincing their neighbors to see the light. I'm in a very conservative area in Canada and I now have a Liberal sign on my lawn. As does one of my neighbors!

Any company considering doing business with the US in any country (say providing toilet paper to an embassy) should insist on getting paid up front. Reduce risk on refusing to comply with this sort of nonsense. Current government has a track record of stiffing contractors for no reason.
