I agree with that, but concurrently don't want to have 20 different subscriptions to different news outlets to read everything I could find interesting.

Bernie is only a Democrat when he wants the Democrat base. There is a significant portion of Democrats that are significantly towards the center of Bernie. Even AOC has moderated over the years as she has sought a more leadership role.

Like all parts of Trump's life, these 100 ft flag poles will look classless and tacky. The next president should remove them in the first 100 days.

He can be tried on domestic terrorism charges by the US and 1st degree murder by the state. We don't have capital punishment in Minnesota. Regardless of the nation's charges I want him to be tried by my state as well.

In Minnesota we are being asked out of an abundance of caution not to attend the rallies because someone assassinated 2 members of our state Senate :(

Perhaps cost? I presume you would have to pay those 24k guardsmen.

Journalists should be asking the speaker if Marines are being trained in peacetime law enforcement. This isn't a war zone and Marines generally know how to do one thing very well, and it isn't law enforcement.

Why would making public deputy's names put officers in extreme danger?

That just requires finding the right judge.

It doesn't need to go to court. It just needs to get to the DoJ where they "settle" with the organization.

I'm convinced within this administration there will be a shootout with federal officers because of their disregard for basic safety. AND the SCOTUS will rule that the citizen was warranted in self defense.

I remember Republicans attacking a fire chief, solely because the fire chief was a woman...

That area code covers 1/3 of Minnesota. No area code necessary.

Yeah, it is a sad path. I haven't read the text through, but a law can't supersede the Constitution. Congress can't just write a law that says "ignore Constitution." SCOTUS would be obligated to act.

Alternatively, it's important that courts stop unconstitutional things.

Big ideas are a dime a dozen. Funding and seeing a goal through implementation is much bigger than "big ideas."

That's just not being fair. Plenty to not like about Musk but SpaceX has been remarkable.

"It's interesting the timing of the releasing the Hur tapes. It seems like since the downrating of US Treasuries, they're like, 'Hey wait, it might be a good time to distract the American people and talk about the Hur tapes.'"

I'm not saying this isn't important, but way more time should be spent on the Moody's downgrading of US debt than this given the votes that are about to occur to increase our debt $5T

The horseshoe theory keeps getting stronger and stronger for me. The center left and right need to take back politics, even if that means voting for good people that support good government but have different policy goals.

I've noticed this on many topics. It gives a generalist's overview of the topic which is mostly right but if you get into the nuances of a topic it falls apart.

I'm equally interested if a state judge (a state actor) has any obligation to federal law enforcement in a state building. My understanding is allowing federal officials into a state building is a professional courtesy, not a legal obligation.

My question, does a state judge have any legal obligation to assist the capture of an illegal immigrant inside of a state facility? She is acting as an actor of the state. Red states used to care about the state's lack of obligation to the federal government.

I get your point, but I'm challenging the idea that Congress can pass this responsibility onto another body in the first place. This SCOTUS has ruled in similar cases they cannot.

Democrats should be challenging his authority to levy these tariffs at all. The Constitution says this is Congress' role, not the President's. Per this SCOTUS a branch of government cannot legislate away their authority.

As a previous years season ticket holder and Rochester resident, I couldn't justify the time & money spent attending games if ownership didn't want to spend the time & money. Do you really feel the front office has been inactive? I feel like it's hard to make moves when you're slashing $30M.
