My only issue is the model is zoomed out and obscured from the angle on the first frame with the play button also covering it (autoplay turned off). So it's hard to understand what I'm looking at before I press play

Teramachi is a strange place. Worth a brood

Keep in mind only a week in Japan would be a surface level cultural observation and not an authoritative source. Spend more time here and you learn that "acceptance" of these games could be closer to pachinko addiction and from people I talk to pachinko is hated here because of it's devastation

I feel like onready and unique names worked well until I needed to free scenes or instantiate new scenes. Export helps to allieve those errors

BitSummit in Kyoto is growing every year! Avoid the US for travel, not worth the risk

How does it work?

I didn't know this!!

That is good to know for the future. I figured it was something more complex than the direction I went

These articles might explain. I know that ready function loads from Bottom to Top (child first) in the scene tree, so I often load in process with an if statement kidscancode.org/godot_recipe... docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tu...

What is the license for this shader?

Vertex color shaders have been implemented in the Godot 4.4-beta3 version but I don't know how it works or if it auto imports. You can also try importing the blend file directly

Gltf and glb are slightly different. Gltf will import materials and set them nearly identical to blender but you can't edit the materials. Glb will import like obj or fbx and you need to create the material and set it to surface override.

From memory, might be off: When you import a gltf that is your model asset and when it prompts you to save a res that is like your prefab file in Unity. Any time you reimport the gltf it will update in the prefab (theoretically).

I needed this reminder. Deleted the app long ago but forgot to delete my account

When signals are printing multiple it's usually because I didn't write the code correctly. Then I try passing self as a variable with the signal and working with that variable to whatever is receiving

Do you have multiple nodes with this script?

If you approach it from accessibility (people who can't play with a mouse/keyboard), it might be easier but is it worth alienating players? I suffered through some games I loved but the physical pain is what I remember more than the game
