I would also give a special fuck you for those who stayed home in 2024. That deserves a separate FU, not voting against could mean voting 3rd party, which 3rd party = GOP vote IMO

Dispute the opinion, then I find The Hill fairly balanced in its reporting. Back in February, a Gallop poll said Democrats want the party to be more moderate. How do you address that

So explain this thehill.com/opinion/camp...

To clarify my point, America today does need to go left, but not too far left. Center-Left (and Center-Right) is the line.
comment in response to post
Agreed, but not too far left, which is what progressives want

The fact he survived a school shooting is irrelevant to the grand scheme. He's a great anti-gun activist, but nothing more beyond that
comment in response to post
We need new voices, but we need new MODERATE voices, one that will listen to rural, suburban, and urban Americans
comment in response to post
The push to be more progressive is why we're in this mess to begin with Americans do not want to go further left, they want to go back to the center

What the party doesn't need is those who are going after incumbents. Hogg caused this, and I'm glad he's not running again, he needs to grow up before he can be taken seriously

Your Pacers pocket a W, and the Oilers got a W last night Good start so far.

☝️ This type of ignorance is why progressives can't win elections, it's why we got Trump again

How do you resist, and also reconcile this from a latest Harvard CAPS/Harris poll? Seventy-one percent of voters in the Harvard CAPS/Harris poll said the party needs NEW MODERATE FIGURES to lead the party into next year’s midterms and the 2028 elections.

Sometimes for me it's not a wake up, but a "you're in my spot" situation

@tarmokat.bsky.social it took a legendary artist to beautifully capture a pivotal (if not tragic) moment in FF7

The carbon tax was a political flashpoint, and as an LPC supporter, I'm glad it's gone

While Trump is in the WH, none of those things are going to happen You'll have to be patient.
comment in response to post
Chuck Grassley and Maria Cantwell has proposed bipartisan legislation to do just that. The question is will there be enough support to A) pass and B) override Trump's veto

That may be the point Easier to sell to the brainless MAGA folks that NY is a city that lets killers loose or that NY is soft on crime. A capital murder trial already has a high bar of conviction, this makes it harder.

Technically, it is a snap election. We had an election scheduled for October of this year. When it happens before, it's called a snap election
comment in response to post
As someone who is in a nerd marriage, I second that. Eight years in October for me

Congratulations Kat! You deserve to be happy.

You have your own election in the fall for the PA Supreme Court

Justice Dems' policies may work in places like NYC and other metros It doesn't jive in rural America or the suburbs. And if you're going to win, you have to reach those voters
comment in response to post
And give the GOP power at the same time.

It does feel like he's not the right man for the job. Time to let someone else become senate minority leader

It's more than that Brian They also need to enter hostile territory and reach out to those who were Biden > Trump voters and listen to them.

Which is likely going to happen shortly thereafter It's very possible that the transition period will likely be to last a few weeks; parliament resumes, and once the transition period ends, a new election will be called. I expect to see the election happen in April
comment in response to post
Not good enough. Just saying "His policies are bad" alone isn't enough to get people to vote for your candidate, you need a reason why your candidate's policies are far superior and explain it in a way that breaks through the so-called "brainwashing"

I might look at taking this deck for a spin; with my own twist of course. I've never was sold on the benefit of having Kaheera in, I just leaned on my 1-of Dream trawler as my battering ram. I see Portable Hole being used over Temporary Lockdown, but never figured out why
comment in response to post
So what do you do lock in those votes? Alot of D voters stayed home mostly because of Gaza. Alot of moderates turned their back on Democrats and voted for Trump. We need a number of Biden > Trump voters and find out why they flipped
comment in response to post
Not going to happen, ever. If you campaign on hard-left policies in the US, you're going to guarantee GOP rule for decades
comment in response to post
Strongly disagree Robert. I know you were Secretary of Labor during Clinton's first term, but that means nothing today. Going too far left is what sank the Democrats. No one wants what you are proposing, it's been proven

True, but the optics, not having the PM in the house, is bad. He should call an election right away

The set's feel is lackluster and from a personal point of view, not worth the effort. Drafting sounds fun, but beyond that there's not many cards that excite me. The set feels boring
