đź’ĄThe Netherlands' largest pension fund, has sold its shares in Tesla, Meta, and Alphabet (Google). The fund with US $569 billion equivolent in assets is "directing more money to companies and projects that help to improve society and the environment." #Divest www.reuters.com/markets/euro...

I wouldn’t think “moved to root out diversity initiatives” is a useful phrase for journalism at all, but using it as a euphemism for a purge of high ranking black officers is downright Orwellian.

In future generations, when your children and grandchildren look back on this moment, they are not going to ask about the price of eggs. They are going to ask you what you did. Not what you felt. Not what you paid. But what you did. And I want to be able to say I did everything I possibly could.

It’s getting insulting how much they’re talking about this. Everyone can read the budgets they’re proposing, they increase deficits

Elon’s busy schedule today is claiming astronauts were left in the ISS for political reasons, getting corrected by an ISS astronaut, throwing a fit where he calls the astronaut a slur, then complaining that we should deorbit the ISS

How was this contract awarded??!

time to dig up the @adamkotsko.bsky.social tweet

This is a high ranking US official, a DCOS, retaliating against a news wire over an (objectively correct) editorial decision.

NEW: At least three more DOJ Public Integrity Unit senior officials have resigned after meeting with Emil Bove on the Eric Adams case. Five in Public Integrity overall. That’s six officials who resigned, triple the number that happened during the Saturday Night Massacre.

One of our supporters shared this with us—people are getting creative tonight!

“I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion. But it was never going to be me.”

“Why is Elon’s coup not on the front page of the New York Times???” idk, probably because the NYT is a puzzle game app that happens to also release articles about how trans people aren’t real but are also somehow a menace. It’s like asking why there isn’t a sonnet printed on your toilet paper

Last night, I wrote in my newsletter, Civil Discourse, about Trump's new coup. I base my analysis on the facts and the law, not hyperbole. We are at a serious tipping point. I hope you'll subscribe if you feel the same way, or if you just want to learn more. joycevance.substack.com

Sen. Thom Tillis will be remembered by history as a coward. For not, let us work to see that he is defeated in Nov. 2026.

1. Hundreds of companies who pledged to stop donating to members of Congress who voted to overturn the election on 1/6/21 have broken their promise over the last 4 years But we've identified 10 promise keepers: Farmers Airbnb Expedia Nike Clorox General Mills Holland & Hart Qurate Whirlpool Lyft

whats infuriating about this is that i watch fox news every night where there actually is a “crusade” against big tech and guess what, conservatives won bc they actually fought

everything about this new Meta AI bot is so dystopian but for me the AI-generated images of nonexistent donated coats is up there

This is an especially important reminder. The Court cannot redeem itself by acting lawfully most of the time while it abandons law when the stakes are the highest:

"The Times piece reads, 'For years, Trump has made it known that people he believes to be his enemies should be prosecuted.' It’s like reading from an alternate reality. Jailing dissenters is not a policy position. It’s a hallmark of an authoritarian regime." -- @playtyperguy.com

we're cooked

If you're more upset with Biden being forced to consider the extraordinary step of peremptorily pardoning his own officials then you are about Trump appointing someone who’s promised to use the federal govt to exact personal retribution for Trump, then you need to think a little more critically.

I'm partway through an advance copy of this book, and I recommend it. Though if the named folks here make you sick to your stomach, then maybe you should avoid it. It's a good exploration of wtf has happened to these folks over the last few years.

The hawk tuah girl launched a scam meme coin. A healthcare CEO was gunned down in the street. *You wake up in a cold sweat* It was all real but you got food poisoning from eating Boar's Head

oh no, now donald trump will have license to do the corrupt things hes already done and has been promising to do again

Charles Kushner is going to be Trump's ambassador to France so I can't get upset about President Biden pardoning his son, who was charged with conduct that typically isn't charged by fed'l prosecutors.

Industry S3 is so good

And then he was pardoned by Trump. Do not forget.
