To be clear, I’m not disagreeing with anything. I’m looking for verification of what you’re saying. These are different things. I’m probably on your side with this, but I’ve not read the things that you have, so I’m asking you to give more detail.

The CNN article states “percentage of women in the Vatican workforce”, not “women in leadership positions” as you stated. These are very different metrics. In fact, it only mentions one woman in a leadership position. Im sure there are more, but the CNN article doesn’t back up your claim.

Interesting. I’ve never heard this. Show your work?

“I have persistently made efforts to address these issues without bringing criminal charges and have given Representative Meiver every opportunity to come to a resolution, but she has unfortunately declined.” Anyone have any idea what she’s talking about? Sounds like an attempted quid pro quo to me

If Trump put the plane in the middle of New York Harbor, then I guess it would be close to the same thing.

Don’t say that. I’m in my 40s now. Am I gonna be stuck in the Trump era for the rest of my life? Not rich though, luckily

I’ve always assumed you do the work ahead of time and then schedule the skeets to come out all at once. Are you saying you’re releasing these in real time?

If they’re telling you how they would do it better, then tell them to show you. They’ll shut up. Your work is a constant delight.

Two weeks ago I gave you a hard time for not covering real news. Thanks for getting back to reporting the things that matter.

The first amendment is in tatters. The 4th amendment is gone. And you’re reporting on George Clooney’s new play? It’s a choice I guess

A follow-up: I ended up filtering all records in the relationship against the predicate instead of trying to include the relationship IN the predicate.

Jordan, when you first responded I was driving, so I only liked the post, didn’t respond. You deserve a thank you. I’m sorry if I came across as rude.

True. Maybe I was a little too sarcastic, but I was trying to give feedback and point @jordanmorgan10.bsky.social to a way he could make his blog better for everyone. He seemed amenable to looking into it. I’m thankful that he took it kindly.

So I offered him a tool to make his blog more accessible to more people. I tried to convey that I was being friendly about it with self-deprecating humor, which he seemed to get. I was going for a win-win, which I think we’ve achieved.

Yes, I ended up using reader mode Reader mode turns off all styling, leaving the page to look different from what the author intended. It’s a choice that you make as an author. How far will you go to give everyone the best experience? Jordan seems like someone who wants to learn to work harder

Dude, I tried reading this and the text was WAY too small for my eyes, and they’re from the Mr Rogers era, not the Howdy Doody era. Please, if you’re going to set a custom font in a blog post, at least consider supporting dynamic type in your css (dev.to/colingourlay...) Remember us old folks 🤓

That is interesting! It looks like NavigationLink gets automatically disabled when in edit mode. I can kind of get around it by only showing the NavigationLink if edit mode is off. idk if this is the approach you're taking, but it seems to work: gist.github.com/jaywardell/1... lmk

When you say “it is disabling the label, button etc” do you mean that they’re not tappable because tapping them activates the info button? If so, maybe this article could help. nilcoalescing.com/blog/Multipl... If not, could you give some more info what you mean by “disabled”?

I spent years working with folks on the spectrum and I always bit my tongue when this vaccine nonsense came up from some uninformed person, but I could never have put it as perfectly as this. This is exactly how I felt every time. My life has been enriched so much by knowing people on the spectrum.

The last episode, the way they worship the guy who built the factory in their town, reminded me of the town I used to live in. Industrial cities in the 20th century heartland were basically already there.

Honestly, I drive way way more than most people do, and in some very busy areas. This is the first time I’ve been hit like this and everyone involved walked away. Yeah the car looks bad, and it’s gonna cost money to repair, but it did its job and kept me safe. Props to Toyota

I wouldn’t count on it. A storage slot is a possible point of failure if the MacBook gets jostled. Since it’s a portable device, it needs to be resilient to that kind of thing. At least that’s the spin they would put on it if asked.

Really nice. How does it look with dynamic type?
