The Suspension Clause: 1) Doesn't allow the President to unilaterally suspend habeas, especially when Congress is in session; 2) Applies only to cases of invasion or rebellion (this is quite clearly neither); and 3) Even then, applies only "when the public safety may require it." (It doesn't.)

If Trump is serious about tariffs on movies, it's a very dangerous escalation. Tariffs have not traditionally been applied to services, and the United States is a massive net exporter of services. We would be extremely vulnerable to any service-based retaliation.

The thing I'll always remember about Al Green is that he was the first Democrat to introduce articles of impeachment against Trump in 2017, after Comey was fired. He also argued that Trump was impeachable for his bigotry alone. This was completely out of step with most Democrats and party leaders.
