We need a real P&L here. The amount he’s probably cost the Federal government in waste due to firing-searching for-then rehiring critical people, dumb ass email stunts and moving thousands of people into actual Federal buildings alone must be enormous.

I ordered my employees not to check email over the weekend. I’m the only one checking for my departments and it makes me happy to spare them this BS for 2 days.

I actually had to authorize CT/OT for people who don’t normally work Mondays and who don’t have outside access to email set up to come in last Monday. Plus attended 2 meetings re: this. Plus time spent talking scared employees down off the wall.

The emails for this activity are HR#.OPM.gov - # being 1-20. This time they’ve probably got filters set up, but I suppose if enough emails were sent it would slow processing.

Most of my group didn’t end up sending. I had them wait it out, but I told all of my staff to delete their signature blocks and just use name and lettered credentials like BSN. That piece was honestly just a weird feeling I had. I was going to BCC personally. Keeping for future reference.
