It blew my mind when I first learned about chroma, and 3D color spaces! A very different way to think about color.

Wow this is unbelievably beautiful. Crossing my fingers for you that the seeds grow more of the same!

It's waaaaaay better than it was 10 years ago, but the small things that they don't have, or that take extra steps to complete, absolutely do add up.

Yeah that's been my biggest overall complaint about it - that many things that have been standard for years in other software packages for efficiency/QoL either doesn't exist at all in Blender, or take an additional 5 steps to do in Blender.

I think Blender is great for what it is, but it's not a one-size-fits-all solution. I'm becoming more familiar with it, but I'd still prefer to model in Maya if given the choice.

Yeah, coming from other professional-grade software packages, it can be a rough adjustment. There are things Blender does very well, but it often needs lots of add-ons to function at its best. And even then, I'll still prefer other software for some things.

Yeah this'll be a turning point all right! It'll turn into people not purchasing the game at all until it goes on sale, and maybe not even then if it's not discounted enough. I get they have to recoup their dev costs but good grief this isn't sustainable
