I have a special tiny house at the edge of the woods that is my office. I try to spend time here every day, even if I can only spend 20 minutes. In this space, I can only do things that are writing / creativity related. No work or chores.

Best of all, it's reciprocal: in learning about my kids' neurodivergence, I've come to better understand and accept my own.

It's only through re-parenting myself, in retraining my inner voice to be kind and to radically accept my own limitations, that I've been able to show up as the parent my differently wired kids need me to be.
