Some lovely progress. They are doing much better than when I found them in a hole a couple of days ago

Kamala was right. And it only took him less than 30 days to roll over for Putin.

Folks, please, I beg you. Use Alt text. I see so many posts worthy of reposting, but the lack of Alt text stops me. And I am far from the only one. Alt text equals empathy. I don't know how else to put it in words. Social/political justice without disability justice is null and void. Please!

We should all be outraged that the people who have dedicated their lives to protecting and interpreting our most precious natural and historic resources are being treated so callously by our federal government. I am sick to my stomach.

Make soup for the hungry…there’s so much we can all do. One thing I’ve told my kids, volunteer…you’ll find the best people.

i am going to put a finer point on this: executive orders are not laws. and they certainly are not royal decrees. they are interpretations of existing law for the purposes of enforcement. the fact that so many people are treating them as laws is actually driving me a bit insane.

Every time you don't buy a book from Amazon, but use a good indie store who actually values the sale & treats you & your purchase with respect, the sun shines brighter, floofy puppies gambol in fresher grass, & Jeff Bezos's piles sting for just a biiiit longer. Sounds GREAT to me. Buy independent.

Anxious Nation Waits For Democratic Party To Do Something, Anything In Face of Republican Assault On Life And Liberty

this is so true @astrokatie.com many go into their respective fields to help people and not profit from their incredible works. Why have we strayed so far from the public good and become a nation of greed is good?

And we could have had a teacher for a vice president..

Imagine being a billionaire and not finding joy every day with just giving your money away. Like, every day you could walk up to a small nonprofit, hand them $100k, and walk away knowing you'd just hugely changed people's lives. How broken would you have to be for that NOT to be what you chose?

During today’s event, we gave out over 2,000 books to families and teachers who lost their libraries in the Los Angeles wildfires. We were able to spend $1700 to buy a portion of those books from a local indie bookstore. The remaining new and like new books were donated by the bookish community. 📚❤️‍🩹

AOC: "I want folks at home to look at what members of Congress are invested in private prisons companies, and look at the votes on this bill. It is atrocious that people are lining their pockets with private prison profits in the name of a horrific tragedy."
