www.scpronet.com/modjeskascho... Just had to share that the absolutely fantastic Modjeska Simkins School for Human Rights is about to start their spring session. You can still sign up for a few more days and it can be done completely online if you're not in SC. Can't recommend enough.

www.ft.com/content/770c... I loathe AI with every fiber of my being but it seems like the amazing Norma Kamali is really into it? And she's in NYC

Oh man I loved Tree of Knowledge!! This was Theo Witsell who did the awesome Spectacle zine, I believe, and I can't remember who else.. I think I bought nearly everything they put out. I wouldn't be who I am today without the education I got from them. 🥲

To be clear, I support everyone who protests, but as someone with a long history of organizing protests & direct action, I'm not rushing into the streets right now. That's not about capitulation or feelings of defeat. It's about a particular strategic analysis of what's needed, as I discussed here:

him rising up out of a hole and going "well it's a great day to be alive, I know the sun's still shinin' when I close my eyes" is what could truly bring us all together

This is so, so beautiful.

Great article. 💔 Personally devastated to lose Jason and Ami Roland/ Organically Roland Farm- I've been spoiled by their weekly CSA for years now and they're some of the best people ever. But I totally get it.

1. I hate this SO, so much. 2. They named it BETH?? lol ok 3. I know Atlanta's changed some since I was there but I hope the spirit is still alive enough that this abomination is dismantled and sold for scrap/ made into art within the week

100% I almost never got spam calls anymore- until the past week or so when I've gotten multiple ones per day. WHY

That's a good idea. Think I'm going to do the same. It's really aggravating!

iPhone user who's never heard of swiping til now- this is crazy! Always (or at least since t9 RIP) used thumbs/ one key at a time. Autocorrect worse and worse, I spend half my time RE-correcting. Swipe will take getting used to but it hasn't gotten a single word wrong despite me being WAY off?!

Ohh I see it's a tree now! That's wild. And yeah I completely understand that- I loathe chalky pastel yellow, and have a similarly negative reaction to other colors or color combinations that just really rub me the wrong way. Funny stuff!

We have a lot of this where I grew up in rural South Carolina in the US, and I don't know 100% but we always called it lichen! I haven't seen it growing on a wall like this, but always see it on old wood. I kinda like it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh wow.. this is one of my favorite shots you've ever done and that's saying something

Oh man I love this paper but can never find it anymore! Those are going to be some nice prints

But I got into making my own ink from foraged things in the last couple of years, so that has really opened things up and got me considering other materials.

Yeah I'm definitely with you on all of that. I don't really like to even draw with the markers, so have been ok with just buying a few of these here and there to play with the little airbrush system- it's just so different for me and seems really cool and fun! Paint is still my #1.

This is SO true for me as well. New tubes of paint just feel like such a fresh start, such a treasure. (But ok also I finally did get some Copic markers this year, for the first time ever. Because I found out you can airbrush with them and it's REALLY FUN)

This is such a crazy and interesting thing going on and such a well-written dive into it. Thanks for this! Going to look for your book now.

That was.. a lot of crying! Wow. And yes to everything you said. Thanks so much for mentioning it, it was just what I needed. 😌

Yeah I have no idea either. If it's fake, it's just weird that it's so specific/ how quickly it would have been made/ who would do that? And if it's not fake- I mean maybe that's not the piece of paper he had on him but something he'd written elsewhere? Who knows, but interesting.

My very favorite soap! Such a good idea.

Ok I read this too fast and initially thought you meant GRITTY would be in this as, I assumed, the snow monster?! I still think it could work
