As we have seen this season - a referee can have a far greater impact on the outcome of the game, then any individual player performance yet we give them a pass over and over again for mediocrity or worse. If a player put in the same performance as an avg PRO Ref they would rightly be excoriated.

It's very strange phenomenon in sports that, for a not insignificant subset of pundits and fans, pointing how the refs do their job, and how it impacts the game, is considered "whining" yet spending hours analyzing every minutiae of player performance is "analysis".

STOP with this. STOP. It doesn't benefit anyone and you are only giving them power they don't have.

USL matches between Timbers and Whitecaps were lit at Swanguard. Attended many of them (they owned the Timbers at home). BC Place just has never felt right. (And ironically Timbers own Vancouver there).

Belief Beyond Reason! #rctid (on a serious note- right now nobody is taking them seriously and I kinda like that)

Absurd framing. They didn't "rally against his efforts to slash the federal government". They voted against Trump's attempt to destroy our economy, roll back basic civil rights and destroy key services. Do better Oregonian.

I'm sorry but Donald Trump doesn't think of anything in terms of decades. Full stop. The man can't think past his latest grievance.

There is only one person to be blamed for that goal - Turner. No international #1 should ever be beat from that distance on a shot like that. Period.

Yet we will never get any formal public acknowledgment of this failure. Players and managers are held accountable for their performances yet the snowflakes at PRO lose their stuff at the idea they should have to explain their actions.

His assumption that the Supreme Court, with 4 Trump appointees, is going to stand up to him despite a mountain of evidence otherwise, is just....WTF? 🤯

This is insane. Would it apply to all property taxes? Would bankrupt most local governments along with the state. As someone who works with local districts to craft and pass bonds and levies around the state - these local line items are often only mechanism to improve community services/facilities.

The whole show should just be dedicated to the non-PK call in PDX. It was THAT bad. It deserves to be highlighted extensively to bring some needed shame on PRO.

"besides just the refereeing decision"... "Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?" 🤣 It's genuinely hard to talk about anything else but I will try - Antony, how do the Timbers improve his decision making in the final 1/3? He seems to make the wrong one about 75% of the time.

Counter point - voters have no idea what a CR is, what any of this means. But they do know what a crashing economy looks like and by staying out of the way the blame falls squarely on Trump and Republicans. Forcing a shutdown = owning Trumps radical economic sabotage

What's sad is how totally irrelevant the club is in the MLS ecosystem at the moment. Most round ups of games barely mention the Timbers, if at all, just a complete afterthought.

This tells me his tactical awareness is low. The guy is a “vibes” manage. Thats not gonna cut it in today’s world.

How you start Ortiz after his last performance is beyond me. Dude was objectively awful vs Austin. Neville is a weird dude.

Kelsey’s decision making reflects that of those that decided to spend $7 million to bring him here. Suspect.
