As someone who supported him, if he had ever announced a ban on refugees like this, we would’ve been up in arms. It’s not about independence of mind of the left, it’s about the fact neoliberals like Starmer always give way to the far right. Surely you must be catching on by now.

You tried that one already, it is possible to engage with what people are saying comrade

If we are to defeat reform next time, folks need to stop thinking this is a gotcha moment. In my last report I shared how Labour broke down our election vote share. We won because Tory voters stayed at home - next time we won’t have this luxury. Time to accept members are our strength.

2017 it peaked, and yes it did, had unprecedented numbers of active members and very stable income = higher number of votes than in 2024. Have a read of the report! We don’t have big donors like the Tories and we won’t without compromising on policy - Labour needs and depends on membership fees.

Membership numbers absolutely matter for Labour. Tories - funded by a handful of extremely wealthy donors and they essentially own the press. Labour - depend on the funds from its members and their time to deliver leaflets, doorknock etc.

This is not a defence of Biden of course, who is complicit in the killing of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. But let’s not be naive about Trump’s intentions and the struggle ahead for Palestinians and their allies.

Made the mistake of checking out the Netflix adaptation and hated it. quickly discovered folks with like minded politics did too, but raved about the book so I will definitely give it a read.

Always cautious of this type of polling. Pitting immediate needs of people against future climate security, and assuming of course, the only answer to our financial woes is yet more austerity.

They actually held Chris overnight and charged him on this occasion, realised with strict bail conditions.

Every time without fail it is first and foremost the volunteer stewards under the leadership of Chris, who secure the area, support people to move to a safe place and de-escalate any tensions. But the met know that. Don’t be fooled. Solidarity with our stewards.

Meanwhile the Met, on multiple occasions, have been more interested in collecting surveillance than preventing bikes riding into the path of the demonstration or from pro Israel counter protesters surging towards our stewards and those leading the marches, at a risk to everyone involved.
