I feel like we all saw this coming from a mile away.

First stop pretending the ultra wealthy have any desire at all for fairness and justice. Sure, life is complex, there will never be a perfect system, but we keep outsourcing the planet to those who do not care about it or anyone or anything on it simply because they have money.

I have no idea why anyone would want the American Society- well, other than the uber wealthy who plan on exploiting human lives for profit.

You mean like Nigel did? (And like Trump did….. and and and)
Always odd when people have problems with immigrants but are married to them. Maybe just go to couples counselling instead of taking it out on every other immigrant?

With my last name I’m forced to take this one. I need it as a shirt.

Gotta make sure you still have people to fill the low paid jobs. Kill off education, and force people to breed and make more “Human Resources.”

When you were high bro. You did it when you were high.
Oh wait… that doesn’t really narrow anything down, does it?

What good are educated kids if they question the legality of government actions? Especially when what you want is low cost workers who don’t know their rights? Destroying education isn’t a bug, it’s a feature of this government.

Head to Clacton. Plenty are having this false narrative discussions as they’re being led to by the far right.

Folks are forgetting that they want kids to be uneducated.

It’s wild that people want to assume it even matters. His expertise is marketing lies. It’s what he did before ever entering into politics. This is what he is good at, and the main thing he does.
Why pretend this isn’t intentional?

Did he fall for it? Or did he know or even create it? Well, not him… I seriously doubt his photoshop skills.

Also dual citizen. While my US passport says born in the US I also won’t go. I don’t want to be the person they decide to detain for living somewhere else or having other citizenship.

It’s terrifying that anyone thinks it’s anything other than unsafe.

You’re really struggling aren’t you. I agree that now we will have race and gender based hiring, and that it will no longer be based on competence. Do I believe that hiring incompetent white men because they’re white is good? No. But something tells me you don’t have a problem with it.
comment in response to

That. And trumps picks prove it. But at least all the incompetent white dudes will be employable again…

Hit dogs holler.
comment in response to

Ffs, hit dog much? No, companies will now hire based on skin, gender (and cronyism) alone, and stop hiring on competency. And that will result in the job market we had in the past- a bunch of mediocre to incompetent white dudes in positions they don’t qualify for- just like trumps picks.

And I get that you can’t even fathom that people give a shit about others. But just because you can’t imagine something doesn’t mean it’s not possible or true. It’s just something that isn’t self serving enough for you.
And really, of the two of us, who is screaming for attention regularly here?

TY for being honest and admitting you don’t care about other humans. It’s refreshing to see the honesty that, like republicans, your values hinge on what is best for you and protecting yourself, rather than what is best for the world and humanity as a whole.
And we know who you’d be if you had $

And we need to stop pretending that they mean any of their slogans or any of their claims- not musk and trump, they lie and have said so. We need to stop believing the average Maga supporter who finds all sorts of statements to mask their desire for fascism and bigotry.
comment in response to

This. Ignoring identity as a pretend to “I care about everyone equally” is just more hidden bigotry.

lol. You don’t give a fuck about this person or that person, but you give a fuck about all of humanity? Except of course that person you don’t give a fuck about, eh. And of course the other folks you don’t give a fuck about…. But all of humanity, except for them…

Watched the Nazi party take over conservatives in the US. It would be foolish to think they aren’t going to do the same here. The rhetoric is exactly the same.
comment in response to

And yet some folks won’t elect a Nazi because egg prices are high. When you speak to republicans you eventually understand that they’ll tell you many reasons for their choices, but largely there is only one reason, and they will almost NEVER say that one out loud.

Is it weird that when folks say “Apple” I don’t just see an apple, but specifically the apple in my fridge including the general location in the fridge, complete with the light on in the fridge?

When people show you who they are believe them. And if you need to ignore what they say to believe what they show you, then certainly realise that what they say is a lie -possibly even to themselves.

Just like in the states where so many “progressive” voters were quite happy to vote for Nazis.

It’s not meant to make you feel better. It is meant to keep you in your place by convincing you that you’re helpless and that there are certain emotions that you’re not entitled to.
It’s the hippy version of “do what you’re told.”

Sigh. Here WA is used for everything as you can’t send pics or links via regular texting. And so many groups are on FB. Then there’s finding coeliac friendly places. Ugh.
It’s the community convos that I need.

It costs them a TON to deny your third appeal. Though I suspect that will change soon enough.
I did this multiple times and learned about it from a mom who did this a ton for her disabled kid.
And no, people shouldn’t have to. But we’re in a world where what should be just isn’t.
comment in response to

Please note- appeal. Appeal three times- send in the same stuff or add other nonsense. It doesn’t really matter. Almost always the third appeal will go thru. Useless for something needed quickly, and a lot of work the first time, less when you realise what you send in doesn’t matter. More…

As an American (for now) in Colchester who moved here not long ago, the answer is “the same thing that happened in the US.” Here’s hoping folks here are a bit less tolerant of Nazis and Fascism than the US.
