Breaking News: Canada’s Liberal Party is projected to win, electing Mark Carney, who ran on an anti-Trump platform, as prime minister. nyti.ms/4308UmS

Wisconsin friends, there's an emergency action in Milwaukee with a demand to immediately #FreeJudgeDugan being planned. A comrade asked me to spread this far and wide if you're in town. www.mobilize.us/wfpower/even...

If these abductions do not push every single one of you to question the existence of immigrant "detention" centers and the conditions of ALL prisons and jails, then you are really doing life wrong. Conditions in detention, jails, and prisons in the U.S. ARE TERRIBLE. They are awful every single day.

Breaking News: Mohsen Mahdawi, a Columbia student activist who is a legal permanent resident, was arrested by ICE at a meeting he thought was a step to becoming a U.S. citizen. nyti.ms/4cxlwG4

Can we get more of this? “The Japanese American National Museum will ‘scrub nothing,’ Fujioka said, and instead will highlight the importance of DEI. “Our community is based on diversity, equity is guaranteed to us in the Constitution, and inclusion is what we believe in,” Fujioka said.

“I see protest as a genuine means of encouraging someone to feel the inconsistencies, the horror, of the lives we are living. Social protest is to say that we do not have to live this way." — Audre Lorde

#HandsOff

Hands down the funniest #HandsOff sign I saw today.

Wow. #HandsOff rally in St. Paul, Minnesota is massive!

This is Utah in case anyone’s wondering how pissed off people are. I have never seen anything like this.

So many things none of us will perceive will come out of today's gatherings. That's the point. People find each other, they take some strength and remember they aren't actually isolated and alone. This is fortification for what's to come.

NEW: @motherjones.com reports that one of the men renditioned to El Salvador is Neri Alvarado, who was working in Dallas as a baker. An ICE agent told him they were questioning all men with tattoos. Neri has an AUTISM AWARENESS TATTOO in honor of his 15-year-old brother with autism.

"An emergency rally has been called for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Powder House Square in Somerville to protest a Tufts international graduate student being taken into custody Tuesday by federal authorities." www.cambridgeday.com/2025/03/26/p...

One thing some of you can do is to stop asking organizers to do everything for you. If you want more coverage of protests, then take it upon YOURSELVES to contact your LOCAL press to ask why they aren't covering protests. YOU can do that yourselves. YOU.

One of the truly useful things people could do right now is set up some lemonade stands in their communities [where it's warm enough], get a chair, print a ton of flyers and talk to every single person who walks by to share information about what's happening in your communities and in the country.

The people Attorney General Bondi is calling “terrorists” have had no trial and no chance to defend themselves. We do not know who they are. Ignoring the Constitution does not make us safe. It puts us all in peril.

DO THE THINGS YOU KEEP SAYING OTHER PEOPLE SHOULD DO.

About 1/6 of the total population of Serbia protested government malfeasance today. In the US that would be more than fifty million people.

There are simply no quick fixes for anything. It's all just persistent, focused and ongoing work.

Thousands out in NYC today to demand that DOGE… STOP THE CUTS!

ICE stripped a German green card holder naked, drove him from Boston to Vermont to Rhode Island, put him in a cold shower, deprived him of medication, sleep and food until he collapsed. No one knows why he was detained.

Today is a great day to take a concrete action to lessen one person's suffering.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable. Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes. Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

We don't all have to be focused on the same fights right now. There are many fronts & fights. The most important thing is that each of us take up one or two. That's really it. Get to ground, find your people, and fight like hell.

At the moment, I don't care about 2028. Show me Democrats who will lead us effectively through the rest of 2025, and I'll be open to talking about 2028.

The Social Security Administration abandoned plans it was considering to end phone service for millions of Americans filing retirement and disability claims after The Post reported that Elon Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service team was weighing the change.

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave. Tell them: 1. Vote NO on Cloture AND 2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill. Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it. TODAY is the showdown. 🤳🏽: (202) 224-3121

Again, Democrats, if we're in a constitutional crisis, don't vote to confirm Trump's nominees, especially not Assistant AGs. Disappointed with @warren.senate.gov here voting to advance Trump's Assistant AG pick Gail Slater.

BREAKING 🚨 🚨 🚨 US added to international watchlist for rapid decline in civic freedoms Civicus, an international non-profit, puts country alongside Democratic Republic of Congo, Italy, Pakistan and Serbia www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Speaker Johnson has rolled out a slush fund continuing resolution that would give Donald Trump and Elon Musk more power over federal spending—and more power to pick winners and losers, which threatens families in blue and red states alike. Read my full statement ⬇️

A reminder if it’s needed for #internationalwomensday that women have had a voice for many centuries - maybe we just haven’t always been willing to listen … #earlymodern

I want to share this training opportunity. Please let me know if it's pre-filled with my info: www.mobilize.us/surj/event/7...

Republicans are CLAPPING and CHEERING Trump's Tariffs. Trump's Tariffs are a Trump TAX on YOU. When prices skyrocket, remember that Republicans cheered for higher prices.

What he said about Social Security payments has been repeatedly debunked - so the question isn’t whether he’s lying about this, the question is why. What is this a pretext for? He and the GOP have long shown interest in going after Social Security. What are they going to try?

“The days of rule by unelected bureaucrats are over.” Uh....

Trump backed GOP into a big corner with his “balanced budget” point. The ONLY way House GOP could even think about upholding their “no cuts to Medicaid” swing seat promises and their spending cut mandates is deficit spending and bad math. Now they have to gut Medicaid & hand it to Elon in public.

On the one hand, I want to be a part of working towards and realizing a better America… on the other hand, I wouldn’t be mad if the western border of Canada creeped south just a bit.

Ending the night with this. *Get your hankies* A D-Day veteran called a gracious and humbled Zelenskyy a hero.

I hate to be the wet blanket here, but Lisa Murkowksi has voted to confirm every single Trump cabinet nominee with the exception of Hegseth. She voted for Rubio at State, Ratcliffe at CIA, Gabbard at DNI, and Noem at DHS. So, forgive me, but this rings incredibly hollow.

“How we choose and what we choose make a difference in what we become and in what the world becomes.” — Saint Bonaventure I think about this quote almost everyday. Everything thing we do matters. Every choice we make—or fail to make me—affects what we become and what the world becomes.

If the Democrats had any sense at all, they would leave DC en mass on Tuesday and go home to their local communities and work from there.... Talk to constituents etc...

We are shutting down our online store at midnight Eastern in solidarity with the 2/28 Economic Blackout. We’ll be back on 3/1. Also, sorry about the long shipping timeframes and the lack of shirts—we’re working hard to catch up! We use small U.S. suppliers for our products.

You have to be willing to try shit and to be wrong and then to keep trying.

I think that it's important to share examples of visible dissent. Normalcy bias is real. Sharing how people continue to dissent is helpful.
