I keep seeing Adriana Smith "gave birth." She didn't "give birth," a fetus was cut from a corpse. She & her family were denied any dignity in her death. She was dehumanized, designated an incubator, & desecrated. By the very system that killed her.

Thinking about how Syril was basically the feds sent in to disrupt liberation movements & a LOT of men wept for him & called him a victim because his gf (superior) didn't invite him to the pizza parties & include him in the secret overall plan.

One thing I keep thinking of is that Republican policies are making it harder for women to live safe, prosperous, dignified, and independent lives—and that Trump’s cuts have targeted the bodies whose work would track women’s disappearance from the public sphere and make it quantifiable.

I'm wondering how many more examples we need of men behaving in what is stereotypically associated with girls until we admit the truth, that this is the behavior of boys. And patriarchal allows men to behave in socially stunted, adolescent ways & society snickers & insults girls & femininity.

It’s important that we name that sociologists (including Jess) have been raising the alarm about these trends toward misogyny in young men and boys for a decade. This isn’t something that sprung up out of nowhere. It has been brewing for their whole adult lives.
