The way you can tell the difference is that the Democrats lie and say they're going to help you and the Republicans say "fuck you, I'm not going to help you".

I've had a few One Steps in my collection, but wound up selling them because I was offered a ridiculous price for them. The only one I still have left is "Mingus, Ah Um", and it's easily one of the best-sounding records I own.
I buy a lot more Analogue Productions than MoFi these days though.

This is my favorite Monk album. I've never heard the One Step version of it, but my Impex pressing sure sounds fantastic!

Yeah, well orange Cheetoh Jesus is fucking those hard-working families in the ass, and so no, I won't STFU.
If your father was involved in helping him buy up all that land then it's your family who is part of the problem, and no wonder you're fucking defending them. POS capitalist pigs.

Oh? Is it a liberal myth that the largest single owner of farmland in the United States is Bill Gates?
I guess he has a "family" so sure, let's call him a "family farmer".

What about the ones who go into default, and the banks take the land away from them?
Do you think the banks will be concerned with ethical distribution of farmland and refuse to sell to corporate entities?
Something tells me they will just be complicit.

I, as an American, once again feel compelled to apologize for what a chaotic dumpster fire my country has become.
Please let me come be in your country for a while. Whoever and wherever "you" might be, it's an open plea. Mine is broken, and my family is getting scared here.

I also did not listen to King Gizzard & etc etc because of their name, then saw them live at a festival I was at and they blew my mind.
I also avoided Viagra Boys for several years and now consider them one of the better extant bands out there.

If the Tesla was free with a $5000 rebate I would take it from Tesla because the financial loss involved would hurt them.
I would then donate the Tesla to a bonfire. They can't say I'm a terrorist if it's my own property, right? He can't believe I'd be dumb enough to be seen driving a new Tesla.

THEY will profit from it. The rest of us will start going bankrupt and the things we own will lose value so that they can purchase it all at a discount in the fire sale.

Kudos for patiently holding his hand and guiding him to the answers he is apparently seeking. He obviously needs the help.

This is part of the plan. The billionaires want to force us out of our homes so they can buy them at a discount and then force us all to be renters.
Corporate commodification of residential real estate is the reason homes are so expensive. They've been doing it for years already.

He's too lazy to be bothered by it, it would have interfered with his important "let's see what they're saying about me on the cable news networks" time.

I think that one of the things that is most important is getting rid of a Senate that provides two seats for every state regardless of population. This paradigm is one of the largest mistakes that was made in the design of our government.
The electoral college is another massive failure.

I'm American and I agree.
I hope they also allow some of us to petition for asylum - it's getting dangerous here for some of us.

I work at a very large R1 university.
Just a few days ago ICE began kidnapping foreign grad students off of our campus.
I think that driving away the foreign students is just part of the plan. The other part is to destroy our universities and research institutions.

For most people in this country a sense of community has been completely lost and/or destroyed.
They do not want us to regain it. The only sense of community they want us to enjoy is the one that comes from being a member of the cult.

Unfortunately accurate - I won't name my employer explicitly, but one department we have is a non-revenue generating group whose purpose is to provide financial management assistance and education to independent farmers.
It is likely to be shuttered because all its federal funding has been axed.

This is a great compilation to start with. You should be able to find it on Bandcamp, or even YouTube. Widely available on vinyl atm as well. If you like it let me know and we can expand the conversation. :-)

Have you listened to any psychedelic cumbia/chicha music from Peru? It's been my pet obsession for a while now, my goal is to completely fill a cube with music from Peru, and I'm pretty damn close to reaching it.

I love this. I've seen so many people, many of them friends of mine, sniping and biting at each other on social media simply because we disagree on finer points of history, definition, or opinion.
The fascists are depending on us to eat each other. We can't give them what they want.

Not the dumbest thing I can imagine someone saying, but quite close.

Thank you for putting the attack on the middle class as number 1.
Part of their plan for this is to cause another housing crisis, when people are unable to pay their mortgages the billionaire class will swoop in, buy our homes at a discounted rate, and then turn us all into permanent renters.

I love this.
When my wife and I were first dating I went to her house in Saigon to celebrate Tet Holiday with her family. She and her sister took me out after dark to sneak around and steal flowers from all their neighbors.
They called it "di hai loc" - going to steal luck. It was great fun.

Then when they lose elections the establishment dems blame it on the few left-of-center ideas they actually espouse.
What they don't understand is that it doesn't matter at this point what policies they claim to support because people know they won't deliver. They're failures.
comment in response to

To be clear, you and I agree with each other on this. The Dems try to claim that actual leftist policies are political poison, and then use that as an excuse to begin negotiating from the center.
Negotiating from the center is already a compromise because it guarantees right-wing solutions.

Those are certainly a bunch of words that somebody out there might think are intelligent-sounding when you string them together.
The Democrats and Liberals have FAILED the USA. Their failures are why we are where we are today.
Wave that flag while you sink with the ship.
