Slept for a few hours, woke up and started inking, and now I don’t want to go back to sleep because the inking is going well and I want to keep riding that train.

Action figures? No way. I like to build my little guys.

"Batman/Superman/whoever is a cop" discourse annoys me because unlike the police those guys actually stop crimes instead of shooting family dogs and getting offended by rap music all day.

Great question. Both Halloween and Surfing are peak human experiences where the veil is briefly lifted between our material plane and a more ethereal one.

Still slowly crawling out of my now three-year-long burnout. It took me four days to pencils these pages and two to ink and tone, but I did get them done! shitkids.evilspacerobot.com

Certainly worth repeating in the times we are in..

This shot from Image of the Fendahl might be the most dramatic Fourth Doctor image ever.

Minibust of Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot. I confess to never have read a Poirot story, so this is kind of a sense-memory of her brief description (egg-shaped head, bushy mustache) and my impression from various movies and TV shows.

Donald Trump has sent an innocent man to a concentration camp. He has defied our country's Supreme Court. He is a dictator and a threat to the public. When his opposition finds the courage to say this out loud, we might begin to have a fighting chance.

"Ze little grey shells."

𝕸𝖔𝖉𝖊𝖗𝖓 𝕮𝖆𝖗𝖆𝖕𝖆𝖈𝖊: "O Bounty Of Thy Ribs" is a comic about a park ranger named Esther who pilots the mecha Tarantula Hawk, keeping tabs on the Ribs, arid home to a subterranean species of massive insect called Armacada, and must protect them from marauders. Read it! moderncarapace.itch.io

I called my senators and US rep and told them to join Van Hollen on his trip to El Salvador and bring back the people who have been wrongly imprisoned in those concentration camps. Call your reps and tell them the same thing if you feel similarly. Find your reps here: reps.fyi

If you live in or near Boston, you should make plans to do the Bookstore Crawl. If you're not near Boston, but near an indie bookstore, check to see what they have planned for April 26. Now's the time to buy books (& buy local) before tariffs make books into luxury goods for all but the super-rich

Your regular reminder that almost everything Trump is getting away with is not because of presidential strength, but because of congressional weakness and judicial deference. The constitutional tools are already there to fix this, but those who can fix it are refusing to do so.

My favourite episode is the one where Poirot gets a shoulder-mounted cannon.

Today's random but interesting reference source discovery: Inducks, "the world-wide database about Disney comics" inducks.org/index.php "162,379 stories, 183,045 fully indexed publications"

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

You may not believe me but I have not yet used ChatGPT for anything. Also, I have not eaten dog shit. I do believe the two are related!

Action Draculas Trading Cards coming soon: here’s Rennie (found a procreate inking brush I like today).

Damn it, that line was a LOAD-BEARING tangent!

the gang grows ever larger 😇

I asked Somerville Homeless Coalition / Project SOUP if there was anything in particular they needed and they said individually wrapped snacks, so on Wednesday night, please bring two boxes of granola bars to Gracie’s and you’ll get a free scoop of ice cream.

I have three more slots available! C: Would like to have these filled before the end of the week! Thank you guys so much for boosting!

there are more of them now. 😎 www.etsy.com/listing/1724...

got a real human today at Schiff's office which i think means less people may be calling, but we need to keep the foot on the gas. Do not let them be complacent about this!

hello creative friends ! got a little scam alert for you: had an email from this guy, felt a little strange to me that he mentioned he was hearing impaired but it's obviously to make them seem like they are the vulnerable one in this exchange

Starting a comm this week #wip my Star Trek friends… am I still worthy

La Chica de Kung Fu 1975-76, 67 issues. Mexican superheroine comic of the 1970s, created by José Luis Duran and Juan Alba for MACC Division Historietas. It's a spin-off from "Shang-Chi: Maestro de Artes Marciales," the MACC Division version of Marvel character Shang-Chi.

I'm sure there's weirder in the archives, but a guy who's been to the comic shop a few times comes to mind. He was looking at a GN of stories based on songs, said "I wrote this song." Oh! Seemed plausible. Then: "I wrote all the hit songs of the last 50 years. John Lennon stole all my credits."

I did not know this.

this *especially* if you have GOP reps. I know, they're cowards, they agree with Trump, whatever -- but if they're getting inundated with calls from constituents, that's gonna factor in too, for at least some of them.

Harry Potter casting announcement like "here's a list of people you no longer have to care about."

Needle-felting was one of those crafts that I was always like "that looks complicated and hard, plus I am accident-prone and do not wish to accidentally stab myself in the hand with a needle repeatedly doing this" and it turns out it's much easier than I thought it would be and very very fun
