Everyone should email their elected representatives and ask them what 5 things they did for their constituents last week. Make it a weekly habit.

Hey @fetterman.senate.gov Like the millions of federal employees that are now required to justify their work to the American people weekly, I’m asking you to let your constituents know what 5 things you accomplished for us last week. Please reply by 11:59 EST on Monday, March 3rd.

To every woman who feels overlooked or unheard—Women’s History Month is a reminder of your strength and worth. Together, we move forward in solidarity.

“What this does to us is just put us in a constant state of chaos, not knowing what to say to our families or what to say to our landlords." @bloomberg.com www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

I made this the other night while procrastinating, mainly because I thought all the posts about the blackout were boring. It feels like there is momentum bringing people together!

Did y'all hear about Elon Musk new $2 BILLION FAA contract? Conflict of interest . . .👀 Instead of Republicans taking jobs and programs away, they need to be investigating this—but OH RIGHT—they report to King Musk. www.cnn.com/2025/02/25/b...

I cannot believe we're stuck with this chucklefuck until 2029. "Fetterman has missed 18 of 91 of the votes on the floor, more than any other senator" "'I’m devastated by your inquiries,' Fetterman told the journalist [...] declining to offer further comment." www.phillymag.com/news/2025/02...

Is he letting Trump attend?

When I was in Scotland, I asked about a beautiful building and a cabbie said, "It was built by Andrew Carnegie—back when it was considered vulgar to die wealthy."

Perhaps the social sciences, e.g., have a larger representation of those on the left not because something about them is inherently “biased,” but because the in-depth study of many of those topics leads one to some inescapable conclusions.

Staffing at the HUD office that pays for housing and support services across the country is slated to be cut by 84%. Advocates warn such heavy cuts could make record-high homelessness even worse.

Stop mass deportations with this one simple trick: wapo.st/41apYFB (gift link)

84% HUD staff cuts will cause irreversible harm to towns still recovering & trying to rebuild from recent disasters. Trump is giving tax breaks to his rich friends over ensuring HUD can deliver resources to you.   Hear 👏🏾 Me 👏🏾 Clearly 👏🏾    He doesn't care about you!

“I am a king and my will is law” isn’t a clever distraction from what he’s doing, it’s the central underlying justification for everything he’s doing.

Federal workers are the most committed patriots in America. Trump belittles them. Musk calls them parasites. MAGA thinks they’re all unqualified. They’re on the verge of losing their jobs. Their life’s work is being erased. And they will get up tomorrow and go serve the American people, anyway.

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general. If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

Our nation's federal employees are more than just numbers on a spreadsheet. They make sure we have clean water. They protect us from financial fraud. They provide healthcare to our communities. They make our government actually work for people. Do not forget this.

Yes. But they are missing that much of this has to be performative. That’s what Trump is great at and Dems are awful at. You can’t just tell voters , you have to know how to sell voters. Trump gives sales pitches, Dems show charts. One goes viral. The other is ignored and forgotten

Hearing that @indivisible.org and @moveon.org are pissing off house dems by mobilizing their constituents to call them too much is frankly the single best endorsement I've ever heard for a political action groups.

Liberals: Why don’t people understand these critical issues and keep voting in ways that directly negatively impacts them? NYTimes: paywall WSJ: paywall WaPo: paywall Business Insider: paywall The Guardian: paywall Fox News: open Newsmax: open OAN: open Liberals: It’s such a mystery.

It's time to stop pretending DOGE is about efficiency and trimming expenses. The difference between a haircut and a visit to the guillotine matters, and this is all going to be very expensive for all of us (if not for them). Notably gutting CFPB. www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...

Also, CFPB actually returned to taxpayers something like 10x its own budget in recovered scammy payments and fines.

Do I have this right? Elon Musk - the guy in charge of preventing wasteful spending - dropped $40M on a Super Bowl ad? We could permanently house 800 homeless veterans for $40M. Or provide five million meals to the hungry. Or replace lead pipes in 8,500 homes.

After calling and emailing my reps every day for two weeks one thing I can tell you is they don't like it. So if you think they can help, call them. If you don’t, call them anyway, bc you're still annoying them, so it's a win-win

Representation without taxation for a handful of billionaires, taxation without representation for the rest of us.

It's ILLEGAL for special government employees to do government work that affects their own financial interests! Musk's companies got $3.3 BILLION in US government contracts in 2024, and now he's deciding who gets federal funding. House Judiciary Dems are calling on the DOJ to investigate NOW.

someone is DEFinitely going to freak out about the new cover of TIME.

Oh, hell yes…

New Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner just sent out his first email to staff that starts off "I want to welcome you to the new Golden Age of America!" This part stood out to me as particularly disturbing:

People who pursue public service do so because they want to serve the public. Offering them “buyouts” and telling them they can now go into the private sector means you don’t understand the meaning of public service.

Imagine walking into any gen ed class on any college campus in the country and handing young folks random spreadsheets of organizations they are not familiar with and have never heard of and then telling them to "look for waste." That's what Elon Musk is doing. With your data attached.

How many assholes did Elon have to lick to sleep his way to the top? #unqualified #unelectedbureaucrat

The offer to federal workers to resign and keep pay and benefits is a "scam," says Randy Erwin of the National Federation of Federal Employees.

i wish i was morally bankrupt enough so that my reaction to everything rn could be gleefully smug self-righteousness instead of exhaustion & devastation. like libs seem like they're legit having a good time & are playacting outrage.

Here are the actions I posted over on IG for tomorrow!

Elon is the illegal immigrant taking your jobs and your 401ks.

if you're a democratic senator and you're still voting to confirm trump nominees despite him allowing elon musk to gleefully dismantle the government then your brain has fallen out of your ass.

If you're a civil service employee, don't just quit, or take some sort of pay out (that you'll probably never see). You are one of our last lines of defense, in ensuring that our democratic norms and institutions hold. MAKE. THEM. FIRE. YOU.

The over-qualified brown lady is looking pretty good right about now, huh. You petty, stupid fucks.

MAGA: We don’t want unelected bureaucrats running the government! Also MAGA: Elon Musk is running the government now, fuck yeah!

Reposting with alt text. When you call your reps, urge them to take inspiration from this and delay every single Trump thing in Congress, as a start.

Shame on you @fetterman.senate.gov for voting Yes on the pick for Treasury. We deserve better.
