Maybe consider getting tax advice on the appropriate tax withholding to pay minimum income tax, then update your W4. The IRS site also has a calculator…for now. No reason to give the govmt an interest free loan with our tax dollars not knowing if we’ll get a refund next year.
I'm self-employed so I don't deal with W4s/withholding. If I can't get it together to do my taxes in April I pay a (generous) ballpark # and file for an extension. Definitely not overpaying this year though because I don't trust that I will get a refund 🙁
It's not just paying the salaries of elected officials. It's paying into a system that does not represent the budget that our Congress approved. It's paying into a system that is decimating safeguards for citizens of every kind – medical, military, law enforcement, emergency management, education.
